Martinez Drops Two in a Row

Fabrice Maltez and Sergi Martinez were heads-up in a three-bet pot and the dealer fanned the flop of K72. Both players checked and the K landed on the turn. Maltez led out with a bet of 10,000 and Martinez just called.

The river was the 3 and Maltez slid out a bet of 55,000. Martinez thought for a moment but eventually folded his JJ. Maltez let him choose one card and Martinez was happy to see the K revealed.

On the next hand, Martinez opened to 4,000 and Vlado Banicevic reraised to 12,000 on his left. The action folded back to Martinez who called to see a flop of AQQ.

Martinez checked to Banicevic who bet 6,000 and Martinez check-raised to 18,000. Banicevic called and the 9 rolled off on the turn. Martinez counted out a bet of 35,000 and Banicevic pushed all in for 126,000. Martinez went into the tank for around three minutes but eventually decided to fold once again.
