With around 11,000 in the middle and the board reading AJ10K, the action was on Enrico Camosci in the hijack. Dario Sammartino was waiting patiently but eventually called the clock after nothing happened for nearly two minutes. With the time running down, Camosci finally made a bet of 3,000.

Sammartino decided to splash in a raise to 8,000 and Camosci quickly jammed all in over the top. Sammartino flicked his cards to the muck and the two engaged in some friendly Italian chat. Camosci tabled Q9 for a straight and a redraw as he collected the pot.

Salazar Sanchez Sizes Up on the River

Mauricio Salazar Sanchez opened to 2,000 under the gun and was called by Mihai-Emil Isar on the button and Alexandre Landron in the big blind. The flop came J1010 and the action checked around to the K on the turn.

Salazar Sanchez fired out a bet of 2,500 and was only called by Isar. The river was the K and Salazar Sanchez sized up with a bet of 12,000 which prompted a snap-fold from Isar.

Micah Bitton raised to 2,700 from middle position before Magnus Carlsen three-bet to 5,700 from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way and Bitton called.

The flop was 2QK and Carlsen bet 6,000 into an immediate shove from Bitton.

Carlsen leaned back.

"That was fast," Carlsen said as he shuffled his black chips with his left hand.

Carlsen went further into the tank with 15,000 behind before he finally emerged with a call.

Wilf Straightens Out Martinez

Sergi Martinez and Saar Wilf were heads-up in a pot with just over 12,000 in the middle. The board read Q874 and Martinez checked from the big blind. Wilf tossed in a bet of 8,000 on the button and Martinez called.

The 7 paired the board on the river and Martinez still checked. Wilf splashed in a bet of 30,000, enough to cover the stack of Martinez sitting around 17,000. Martinez gave it some thought and opted to make the call. Wilf turned over 65 for a straight while Martinez was left with AQ.

PokerStars Ambassador Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg raised to 2,200 from middle position and Moreno Renzo Plozza raised to 7,500 from the small blind. Spragg responded with a shove for his last 22,000 and Plozza called quickly.

Vozian Calls the Clock on Sternheimer

Victor Vozian raised it up in middle position and Philip Sternheimer defended from the big blind. The flop came KQ6 and Sternheimer check-called a bet of 3,500 from Vozian.

The turn was the 6 and Sternheimer checked again. Vozian down-sized with a bet of 2,500 and Sternheimer still called. The 3 completed the board and Sternheimer checked once more. Vozian flicked in a bet of 10,000 which put Sternheimer in the tank. After a couple of minutes, the clock was called and Sternheimer was forced to fold.

Carlsen Thinks Better of It

Christopher Puetz raised to 1,800 from the cutoff and Magnus Carlsen made it 4,500 from the button before Marc Fischer shoved 19,600. Puetz got out of the way and Carlsen leaned forward to think about it.

After a quick rhetorical question and a few moments of thought, Carlsen tossed his hand in the muck to wait for a better spot.
