Orpaz Eliminates Ustimov with a Baby Flush

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Tom Orpaz
Tom Orpaz

Simon Mattsson raised to 12,000 from the hijack and was called by Tom Orpaz on the button and Viktor Ustimov in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} and the action checked to Orpaz who threw in a bet of 50,000. Ustimov check-raised all in for just over 200,000 which got Mattsson to fold but Orpaz snap-called.

Viktor Ustimov: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Tom Orpaz: {5-Spades}{3-Spades}

Orpaz flopped a small flush but Ustimov still had outs with the nut-flush draw. The {10-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and the {8-Clubs} on the river also bricked out, sending Ustimov to the rail.

Expensive Setback for Vogelsang

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Towards the end of the level, a rather innocent heads-up pot until the {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} turn then saw the chips go in between Mehdi Chaoui and Tom Vogelsang. It was the former at risk for 165,000 but he had already locked up the double as the following cards were exposed.

Mehdi Chaoui: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Tom Vogelsang: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {4-Diamonds} river was meaningless as the set of the young Moroccan had one hundred percent equity.

Schillhabel Doubles Through Miegel

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Erik Seidel raised from under the gun and Stefan Schillhabel then pushed all-in with the last 103,000 on the button. Jamil Wakil in the small blind asked for an exact count and also inquired to see the chips of Seidel before folding.

Jakob Miegel in the big blind moved all-in over the top and Seidel folded.

Stefan Schillhabel: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Jakob Miegel: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

It was a classic flip between the two Germans and Schillhabel came out on top of it. The {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} runout provided the necessary help right away as Miegel's stack was dented.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nesterov Gets Some Chips Back

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jakov Nesterov raised to 12,000 from an early position and was called by Andre Marques out of the big blind. On a {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Marques check-called a min-bet of 6,000 and the {4-Clubs} turn was checked by both. Marques then led the {8-Clubs} river for 11,000 and tank-folded after Nesterov raised it up to 45,000.

Volkmann Hero-Calls for His Tournament Life

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Rui Neves Ferreira and Bruno Volkmann were heads-up in the blinds. Ferreira checked to Volkmann who bet 15,000 on the turn and Ferreira check-raised to 35,000 which Volkmann called.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Ferreira jammed all in, putting Volkmann to the test for his remaining stack of 48,000. Volkmann dipped into the tank, using a couple of his time banks before eventually making the call. Ferreira showed {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for nothing while Volkmann tabled his {q-Spades}{5-Clubs} to collect a double-up.

More Chips for Wakil

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jamil Wakil raised to 10,000 on the button and Erik Seidel defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Seidel check-called a bet of 6,000 from Wakil.

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn slowed the action as both players checked to the {j-Spades} on the river. Seidel led out with a bet of 8,000 and Wakil looked him up. The Canadian showed {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a rivered pair of jacks to scoop the pot and add more chips to his stack.

Recent Eliminations

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The field has been cut down to nearly half as several players bowed out once the late registration period has closed. Among them were also Andre Akkari and Ethan Yau, who won't have a shot at the Mystery Bounty prizes that come into play at the start of level 13.

Garagnani Gets a Shove Through

Level 11 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kannapong Thanarattrakul check-called a bet by Pedro Garagani on the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop for 21,000 in a three-bet pot and that led them to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Another check by Thanarattrakul then prompted the shove by Garagnani for 95,500 and that won the pot uncontested.
