Da Costa Eliminated by Kitai

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Raphael Da Costa pushed all-in with a short stack on the button and Davidi Kitai went all-in over the top to isolate out of the small blind.

Raphael Da Costa: {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Davidi Kitai: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} runout provided no ace or other shenanigans and that spelled the end for the Brazilian.

Vogelsang Scores Two Knockouts

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A short-stacked Mauricio Salazar Sanchez was all-in with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and received a call by Tom Vogelsang with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. No ace appeared on the {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Spades} runout and that spelled the end for the Colombian.

Soon after, Vogelsang and Conor Beresford got into a preflop raising war with the latter ending up at risk for around 150,000.

Conor Beresford: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Tom Vogelsang: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The pocket pair prevailed on the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board and Vogelsang notched up another knockout.

"You know how it goes, when the Mystery Bounties come in nothing happens," another player at the table joked.

Mulder Out, More Players In

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Teun Mulder
Teun Mulder

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 6,500 in early position and was called by the cutoff. Teun Mulder was in the big blind and ripped all in for his last 34,000 chips. Schillhabel deliberated for a moment before re-shoving all in which quickly got the cutoff to fold.

Teun Mulder: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Stefan Schillhabel: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Mulder was unable to find any help on the {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} board which sent him to the rail. Some new faces also joined the field including Daniel Dvoress and Sam Greenwood, along with Erik Seidel who is on his second entry.

Early Entries and Eliminations on Day 2

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The first level of the day draws to an end with 60 players out of 90 entries in contention. Several new High Roller regulars entered the mix while four players have been eliminated thus far. The late registration closes at the start of Level 11.

Marques Sizes Up on the Turn

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Adam Miller opened to 6,500 in early position and Pedro Marques defended from the big blind. The flop fell {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Marques checked to Miller who continued with a bet of 5,000. Marques check-raised to 14,000 and Miller called.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and Marques sized up a bet of 37,000 this time. Miller went into the tank for a minute, burning one of this time banks before releasing his cards to the muck.

Doubles for Volkmann and Mateos

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Adrian Mateos flipped with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} against the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} of Casimir Seire. On a board of {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}, the overcards got there and Mateos remained in contention.

At almost the same time, Jakov Nesterov flat-called a raise to 6,000 and then called the short stack all-in of Bruno Volkmann for 27,000. He could not beat the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} of the Brazilian on a {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts} runout as Volkmann doubled with the nut flush.

Yaroshevskyy Eliminated by Chaoui

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

Following a raise by Mehdi Chaoui, Igor Yaroshevskyy three-bet to 17,000 out of the small blind and picked up a call by the initial raiser. On a flop of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Yaroshevskyy continued for 15,000 and Chaoui raised it up to 35,000 in order to pick up a very reluctant call by Yaroshevskyy.

That led them to the {q-Spades} turn on which Yaroshevskyy checked. Chaoui pushed all-in with the slightly covering stack and Yaroshevskyy exhausted all his time bank extensions before calling it off.

Igor Yaroshevskyy: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Mehdi Chaoui: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The flopped straight of Chaoui had locked up the hand already which made the {2-Clubs} river a formality.

Nesterov Downs Lima Early Into Day 2

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In one of the first hands of the day, Gilmar Lima raised it up from early position. He was called by a player a couple of seats over and Jakov Nesterov shipped all in from the small blind. Lima called off his stack of 51,000 and the other player got out of the way.

Gilmar Lima: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Jakov Nesterov: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} left Nesterov in the lead with his pair of sevens. The {10-Clubs} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river changed nothing as Lima was eliminated early on Day 2.
