Bedell Bets Out Sturm

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell opened to 11,000 from middle position and Leon Sturm three-bet to 28,000 from the hijack.

"Kings?" asked Bedell before calling.

Bedell checked on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Sturm continued for 16,000. Bedell called. Bedell checked again on the {3-Diamonds} turn and Sturm checked back.

The {9-Hearts} river completed the board and Bedell led out with a hefty bet of 62,000. Sturm used a time bank and folded.

Okhotskyi Doubles Through Finck

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Oleh Okhotskyi raised and Jerome Finck three-bet. Okhotskyi four-bet all in to 88,000 and Finck called. Players flipped their cards, with Okhotskyi at risk.

Oleh Okhotskyi: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Jerome Finck: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Okhotskyi was well ahead preflop and hit a set of nines on the flop. With no flush draw on board, Finck was drawing very thin and failed to improve throughout the course of the hand. Okhotskyi doubled up with his set.

Tens Good for Rymland

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a three-way pot on a flop of {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Sacha Rymland bet and only Mauricio Ferreira Pais called.

Rymland then checked on the {j-Hearts} turn and Pais checked back. The {4-Clubs} river completed the board and Rymland bet 20,000. Pais gave it some thought and called, only to muck when his opponent showed {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens.

Zoufri Turns a Wheel

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Abdelhakim Zoufri opened to 12,000 from middle position and Oleh Okhotskyi defended his big blind.

Okhotskyi snap-called bets of 10,000 and 16,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to show {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Okhotskyi checked once more and Zoufri sized up to 41,000. Okhotskyi bucked the trend of calling quickly and went into the tank. After using up one of his time bank cards, he called.

Zoufri had the {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a wheel and Okhotskyi mucked.

Zoufri and Dattani Double Each Other Up

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michel Dattani
Michel Dattani

2023 PCA Main Event winner Michel Dattani and Abdelhakim Zoufri were all in preflop following a raising war. Zoufri, in the big blind, was at risk with his last 336,000 chips, while Dattani, under the gun, narrowly covered him by 13,000.

Abdelhakim Zoufri: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Michel Dattani: {a-}{k-}

The aces held on the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} runout for Zoufri to take in the massive pot.

The very next hand, Zoufri put Dattani all in and the latter called for his tournament life. Dattani had the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades} while Zoufri was ahead with his {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Dattani managed to get the double up as the board ran out with the {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Dattani then moved all in again in the following two hands but took in the pots uncontested.

Endo Now Chip Leader After Huge Four Bet Pot

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Neville Costa
Neville Costa

Pedro Neves raised to 11,000, Mateus Endo reraised to 38,000 and Jenya Gavrilovich four-bet to 105,000 from the big blind. Neves folded and Mateus Endo called.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Gavrilovich led for 82,000 and Endo called. By this point, the pot was already huge, worth more than the average stack.

On the turn of {10-Clubs}, Gavrilovich led again for a similar size of 78,000 and Endo called. The river came the {q-Hearts} and Gavrilovich switched to a check. Endo pushed all in for 332,000 and Gavrilovich, after using several time bank cards, made the fold.

The pot took Endo up to nearly 900,000 chips, which makes him the tournament chip leader.
