Chaoui Chops With Ha

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mehdi Chaoui shoved all in from the small blind, putting Woojong Ha at risk for his remaining 370,000 chips.

Woojong Ha: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Mehdi Chaoui: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The board paired on the river to give both players two pair with the ace high on board. It was a chopped pot and Ha survived.

Kyte In Need of a Comeback

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

During the last hand prior to the break, Jon Kyte was all-in with the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Ho Tien Cheung also committed his short stack holding the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Kyte spiked a flush draw on {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} but bricked the {j-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river.

Down to 145,000, he was all-in very soon after the break and got the shove through.

Kolarik Loosli It All in Two Hands

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Sylvain Loosli
Sylvain Loosli

Sylvain Loosli jammed for the 140,000 in the hijack and Tomas Kolarik did so for slightly more on the button.

Sylvain Loosli: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Tomas Kolarik: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} board ensured that the kicker played and Kolarik was left with around four blinds.

Those last few bits went into the middle shortly after and Kolarik was looked up by Cedric Massaro.

Tomas Kolarik: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Cedric Massaro: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop left Kolarik on very thin ice but he gained some hope with the {6-Diamonds} turn. However, the {7-Diamonds} river spelled the end for the Czech.

There was no happy end for Loosli either as he bowed out during the next few hands before the tournament went on a scheduled 20-minute break.

Melchers Eliminated After Running Into Aces

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dorian Melchers
Dorian Melchers

Following a preflop raise, Dorian Melchers reraised to 130,000 and Marton Czuczor went all in for 780,00. Melchers called and players flipped their cards.

Dorian Melchers: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Marton Czuczor: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

It was the hand Melchers didn't want to see, leaving him drawing far behind. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Czuczor's aces held. Melchers was eliminated from the tournament.

Ripper Among the Next Casualties as Field Reaches Last Five Tables

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jon Kyte pushed all-in for 195,000 and Walter Ripper got his last 245,000 in from the next seat. Saint Yves Braulio Bianchetti in the big blind asked for both counts but folded.

Jon Kyte: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Walter Ripper: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop was a juicy one as Kyte made a set while Ripper had top pair with the nut flush draw. Nothing changed on the {10-Hearts} turn and {7-Diamonds} river. That left Ripper with a mere 50,000 and he bowed out two hands later in 41st place.

Muradov and Saber Bust Out as Table Break Approaches

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Shakhabiddin Muradov
Shakhabiddin Muradov

Shakhabiddin Muradov moved all in for 190,000 preflop and got called by Mark Buckley. It was time to go to the races.

Shakhabiddin Muradov: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Mark Buckley: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Buckley's pocket tens held and he busted out Muradov.

One hand later, Makram Saber was busted from the same table. There are now just 43 remaining as the tournament approaches the table break, which will occur when 24 players remain.

Di Blasi and Amaouche Score Double-Ups

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Fabio Di Blasi open-jammed for the last 200,000 and was called by Rehman Kassam.

Fabio Di Blasi: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Rehman Kassam: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} board kept the superior pair in the lead for Di Blasi to survive and drag Kassam more into the danger zone.

It didn't take long for the next all-in showdown to emerge as Mustapha Amaouche was at risk for 290,000 against table neighbour Woojong Ha.

Mustapha Amaouche: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Woojong Ha: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

There were three twists to this classic flip. Amaouche flopped a set on {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} but Ha made broadway with the {k-Clubs} turn. Last but not least, the {q-Spades} river paired the board and Amaouche survived.

Vrakas Gets "Very Big Hand" to Fold

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Georgios Vrakas
Georgios Vrakas

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Georgios Vrakas checked, Arnaud Mattern bet and Vrakas called. The turn came the {8-Clubs} and Vrakas led for 105,000. Mattern called.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and Vrakas shoved all in. It was a long wait as Mattern contemplated his hand. "Sorry guys, I'm going to need 30 seconds. I have a very big hand."

It wasn't big enough though. Mattern eventually threw his cards in the much and Vrakas scooped the pot before showing a {q-}.
