Papazian Notches Up Another Knockout

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Alone Zagury was eliminated from table six and the next all-in showdown took place over on table two.

It folded all the way to Nicolas Plantin in the small blind, who moved all-in for the final 155,000. Alexandru Papazian in the big blind glanced at his cards and called instantly.

Nicolas Plantin: {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Alexandru Papazian: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Neither player connected with the {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} board and the ace was enough for Papazian to add yet another elimination to his resume for the day.

Papazian Flips Well Against Bise

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alexandru Papazian
Alexandru Papazian

The chips went into the middle of the table preflop in the most classic of flips in No-Limit Hold'em, as Alexandru Papazian was at risk for 445,000 against Emil Bise.

Alexandru Papazian: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Emil Bise: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Bise retained his lead on the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop but Papazian got there with the {k-Spades} turn. Bise now needed a queen or spades to deal the final blow but instead, it was Papazian who improved to trips with the {k-Diamonds} river.

Moments later, Italy's Nicola D'Anselmo was eliminated on a different table as the field dropped to 49 hopefuls.

Georgios Vrakas raised to 40,000 and Dorian Melchers reraised to 110,000. Tauan Naves shoved all in for 400,000. Vrakas called and, after asking the dealer for chip counts, Melchers also got it in.

Tauan Naves: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Georgios Vrakas : {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Dorian Melchers: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Naves was looking strong with his pair of tens, with Vrakas and Melchers blocking each other's outs. Then, the flop came {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} to give both Vrakas and Melchers a pair of aces. They split the pot and Naves was eliminated from the tournament.

Rebsai and Kyte Double Through Buckley

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Mehdi Rebsai jammed for the last 200,000 and was called by Mark Buckley in the small blind.

Mehdi Rebsai: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Mark Buckley: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The dominated pair spiked quads on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades} runout and Rebsai survived.

Soon after that, Jon Kyte was all-in for 210,000 and Buckley came along once more, this time from the button.

Jon Kyte: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Mark Buckley: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The pocket pair fell behind on the {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} turn and the {9-Clubs} river confirmed Kyte's double-up.

Jon Kyte: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
