Margets Busts as Kuznetcov Keeps Stacking

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Nikita Kuznetsov opened on the button into the relatively short-stacked blinds Jose Ruis Dominguez and Leo Margets, who both called the 9,000 raise.

The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and the action was checked to Kuznetsov. He bet 25,000 chips, which got Dominguez out of the way. Margets did the opposite and put all her chips in the middle, which Kuznetsov quickly called.

Leo Margets: {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Nikita Kuznetsov: {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Margets flopped top pair but was heavily outflopped by the two pair of Kuznetsov. The turn {6-Hearts} and river {4-Hearts} did not bring a counterfeit or one of Margets outs, and she was eliminated from the tournament. Meanwhile, Kuznetsov stacked Margets' stack onto his already impressive tower of chips.

MacDonnell Left with Crumbs

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Juho Suutari and Marc MacDonnell got all of their chips in the middle after a series of preflop raises. MacDonnell liked his position after the cards were tabled with the dominating hand.

Juho Suutari: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Marc MacDonnell: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to give MacDonnell a pair of kings but Suutari picked up a flush draw. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Suutari locked up the pot before the {j-Clubs} river. After the chips were counted, it was Suutari who was at risk for 78,000, leaving MacDonnell with just 3,000 chips.

Shohet Shows Down a Winner

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Hugues Mazerolle opened to 11,000 from under the gun and Gabriel Shohet defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Shohet check-called a bet of 20,000 from Mazerolle.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and both players quickly checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Shohet checked again and Mazerolle instantly checked as well. Shohet turned over {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} after flopping a five and Mazerolle couldn't beat it.

Sandev Misses Out on a Bounty Chip

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Georgi Sandev
Georgi Sandev

Georgi Sandev opened to 10,000 from under the gun before Thomas Hueber jammed for 19,000 from middle position. Danut Chisu called from the hijack and Sandev also called.

The {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} flop checked through to the {3-Clubs} turn. Sandev bet 35,000 and Chisu folded.

Sandev then tabled his {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of queens while Huber had the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flush draw.

The {5-Spades} river completed the short stack's flush and found a much needed triple-up as the money bubble looms.

Strobel Busts Hammond as Field Inches Closer to Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Hammond was all-in for roughly 100,000 chips, and Adrian Strobel had looked him up.

Mark Hammond: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Adrian Strobel: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The board remained free of a king with {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Hammond took his leave from the tournament area.

There are now 124 players remaining, of which 111 will be in the money.

River Bails Out Baali

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roel van Gestel was all in for his tournament for 90,000 and was at risk to Fouad Baali.

Roel van Gestel: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Fouad Baali: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

It was a classic flip and Van Gestel had the best of it following the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and {9-Hearts} turn. The {a-Spades} river hit the felt to give Baali the winner as well as Van Gestel's bounty chip.

Kebe Doubles Through Yaroshevskyy

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Igor Yaroshevskyy raised to 10,000 in early position and was called by Moonho Seo in the cutoff. Jimmy Kebe ripped all in for 47,000 in the blinds and Yaroshevskyy came over the top, forcing Seo out of the hand.

Jimmy Kebe: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Igor Yaroshevskyy: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Kebe held a dominating lead heading to the {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. The {6-Clubs} and {2-Clubs} runout also changed nothing as Kebe scored a double-up.

Wang Squeezes and Gets Called

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Benjamin Souriau opened to 10,000 from early position, and Arnaud Enselme three-bet to 25,000 from middle position. Big stack Nikita Kuznetsov then cold from cutoff, before small blind Xia Wang squeezed all-in for 142,000 chips.

Everyone folded to Kuznetsov, who exclaimed ''Ace-king one time please'', as he slammed in a stack of T-5000 chips to make the call.

Xia Wang: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Nikita Kuznetsov: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

It turned out that this was not the one time Wang had ace-king, as she dominated Kuznetsov's jacks with her aces. The runout of {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} did nothing to change that fact, and Wang doubled up and then some.
