Kuznetsov Finds Another Double

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After finding a double-up on the stone bubble, Nikita Kuznetsov was all-in again for his tournament life.

He raised to 76,000 from the cutoff, leaving 1,000 behind. Simeon Spasov jammed as the big stack from the big blind and his opponent committed his last chip.

Nikita Kuznetsov: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Simeon Spasov: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Kuznetsov's better ace remained best as the board ran out with the {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Boutboul Exits with a €5,000 Bounty

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Bernard Boutboul shoved all in from under the gun for 93,000 and Amel Husnic received a count before he called on the button. The blinds got out of the way and the two hands were face up.

Bernard Boutboul: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Amel Husnic: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Boutboul rose to his feet for the flop of {j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} that put a sour look on his face. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Clubs} on the river was not enough for Boutboul to overcome the deficit as he slammed his fist on the table. With one bounty chip in hand, he headed to the bounty chest and managed to pull a €5,000 bounty on his way out.

Big Stacks Battle It Out

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Philip Shing
Philip Shing

Three players were battling it out in a pot worth over 70,000 already. The board read {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and it got checked to Philip Shing on the button, who put out a bet of 42,000. Big blind Christopher Dowling called, but Nikita Kuznetsov folded from middle position.

The river fell {k-Spades} and Dowling checked to Shing. Shing thought for a while before eventually deciding on a bet of 135,000, which quickly got called by Dowling.

Dowling got shown the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} by Shing for the straight and quickly mucked his cards.

However, Shing would lose a chunk of his stack against Arnaud Enselme. The pot on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board had ballooned. Shing jammed and Enselme called off his last 121,000 on the river. Enselme had a set with his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for the best hand.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Hayato Kitajima jammed his short stack from the small blind and was called by Tobias Schwecht from the big blind.

Hayato Kitajima: {j-}{8-}
Tobias Schwecht: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Both players paired up on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Spades} flop but Schwecht was still ahead. Kitajima could not catch up and hit the showers following the {5-Clubs} turn and {a-Diamonds} river.

Bednar Busts Another One

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jan Bednar
Jan Bednar

Ricardo Pinto went all in for roughly 85,000 chips from the button and Jan Bednar snap-called from the big blind.

Ricardo Pinto: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Jan Bednar: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Both players flopped a pair on {3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, but Bednar's top pair remained best on the {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} runout, resulting in his fifth knockout since the bounties are in play.

Shylko Runs Into a Bigger Pair

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Aliaksandr Shylko
Aliaksandr Shylko

The action folded to Aliaksandr Shylko in the cutoff who shoved all in for his last 177,000 chips. Moonho Seo was in the big blind and looked down at a premium before calling.

Aliaksandr Shylko: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Moonho Seo: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} provided no immediate help for Shylko but the {5-Spades} on the turn gave him a straight draw. The {10-Diamonds} bricked off on the river and the 2023 PSPC winner exited the tournament.
