Houvenaghel Doubles Through Carion With Aces Up

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jordan Carion was out of position in a heads-up pot against Fabien Houvenaghel on a flop of {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Carion bet 2,500 and Houvenaghel raised all in for 19,700. Carion gave it some thought and called with a bigger stack.

Fabien Houvenaghel: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Jordan Carion: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Houvenaghel was ahead with two pair and nothing changed on the {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} runout to earn him a double.

Lee Holds to Double Through Wheeler

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jason Wheeler opened to 1,700 from early positon and was called by Seongmin Lee and Ankit Ahuja from the blinds.

Action checked to Wheeler and put in a continuation bet on the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. Lee then jammed for 11,500. Ahuja folded but Wheeler called.

Seongmin Lee: {a-}{a-}
Jason Wheeler: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Lee was ahead with his pocket aces but Wheeler had an open-ended straight draw as well as some backdoor flush possibilities.

The {5-Clubs} turn and {k-Diamonds} river kept Lee ahead and he doubled up to just under a starting stack.

Kassouf Doubles Through Fhima; Clement Finishes Fhima Off

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

Jonathan Fhima opened from late position before William Kassouf jammed for 9,200 from the big blind. Fhima called.

William Kassouf: {a-}{q-}
Jonathan Fhima: {a-}{10-}

Neither player connected on the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} runout which meant Kassouf's superior ace was enough for the Englishman to get a double up.

Two hands later, Fhima moved in his short stack of 8,000 before Roger Clement rejammed as the bigger stack from the cutoff.

Jonathan Fhima: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Roger Clement: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Fhima was unable to find an ace on the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop but then had outs to Broadway following the {q-Clubs} turn. The {9-Spades} completed the board and confirmed Fhima's elimination.

Danut Chisu

Danut Chisu was all in and at risk against the bigger-stacked Alexander Ivarsson.

Danut Chisu: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Alexander Ivarsson: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Chisu was pipped and got out of his seat as the flop landed {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} to have him drawing thin before the {6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} runout to mark the EPT London Main Event fifth-place finisher's elimination.

Ramon Colillas

Action was caught on the turn with 6,500 in the middle on the {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board.

Robert Fluereci led out for 3,000 from the small blind which prompted Ramon Colillas to raise to 10,000 from early position.

Adam Odman folded from middle position and Fluereci followed suit.

Ntavos called for 1,600 on the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop before the {j-Diamonds} turn checked through to the {j-Clubs} river. Ederoua check-folded after Ntavos bet 5,500.

Sztarkman Hits Flush to Double Through Cecchini

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a three-way pot on a board of {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Alexis Lucarini and Sam Sztarkman both checked from the blinds and Fabrice Cecchini bet 4,000. Lucarini called and Sztarkman check-jammed a stack of around 35,000. Cecchini called with a bigger stack and Lucarini folded.

Sam Sztarkman: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Alexis Lucarini: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Lucarini was in front with a set while Sztarkman was looking for clubs for a flush. It came on the {4-Clubs} turn and the {10-Hearts} river failed to pair the board for Sztarkman to earn the double.
