Gonzalez Keeps Climbing

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was heads up with 30,000 in the middle and {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Spades} on the board when Omar Gonzalez bet 12,500 from the cutoff. Ori Hasson went into the tank for a few moments before he finally tossed out the chips to call. Gonzalez turned over {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for queens and tens and Hasson tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Juen's a Seer

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alban Juen jammed for 22,300 from early position and was at risk to Frederico Silva who had called from the small blind.

Juen had {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was the underdog against Silva's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} meant Juen had one foot out of the door until he made a set thanks to the {6-Clubs} turn. The {9-Clubs} completed the board for the Frenchman to double it.

"I knew it!" chimed Juen as he raked in his new found chips.

Lococo Gives Chips to Boika

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alejandro Lococo and Aliaksei Boika had already battled earlier on in the day, with the PokerStars ambassador getting a double-up from Boika.

This time, Lococo opened to 2,500 from the button and called when Boika made it 7,500 from the small blind.

Lococo then called bets of 5,000 and 6,000 for the final board to show {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Boika then jammed for 9,000 and Lococo was frustrated about the spot he had gotten himself into and opted to fold.

Vlachos Beats Deuces With Treys

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was heads up with around 10,000 in the pot and {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} on the board when Tibor Nagygyorgy bet 8,200 before Andreas Vlachos raised to 20,000 from the next seat over. Nagygyorgy three-bet shoved, Vlachos called, and the cards were turned up. Vlachos had {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a set of treys and Nagygyorgy had {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a set of deuces.

The river {9-Diamonds} was no help for Nagygyorgy and he was eliminated from Day 1a.
