Van Ackeren Leaves Lazar Speechless

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A large pot was brewing in a battle of the blinds over on table 26 in which Romania's Tudor Bartha Lazar checked the {j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} river with around 90,000 behind. Mario van Ackeren then moved all-in and Lazar was seemingly slapped in the face as he was stunned instantly.

A couple seconds later, he grimaced and then folded the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} face-up with the words "what a fuckin river". Van Ackeren also showed his cards as he exposed the {7-Spades}{6-Spades} and then added "I am not a professional player" before leaning closer to Lazar. "But a pro can make a good fold," he added.

Benny Glaser explained that it had been a three-bet pot in which van Ackeren raised the turn before it all escalated.

"I made a lot of bad folds today, but he always had the nuts against me," Fabian Gumz joked from one seat over as several other players gasped after what had just unfolded.

Quad Aces for Moore

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Peter Moore
Peter Moore

Peter Moore opened to 6,000 and Miroslav Forman three-bet to 18,000. Moore four-bet to 46,000 with 45,000 behind and Forman re-raised for all the chips to get in the middle.

Peter Moore: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Miroslav Forman: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The preflop cooler turned into a postflop sweat as the flop landed {q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to give Moore a set but to leave Forman outs with two backdoor draws. The {j-Spades} turn gave Forman outs to a straight before the {a-Spades} landed on the river to give Moore quads for a double.

"Always a sweat!" Moore said as he raked in the pot.

Romeo Takes Down Multi-way Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Leonardo Romeo raised from under the gun. Roberto Romanello called in early position and Orpen Kisacikoglu called in the small blind.

Three players went to the flop, which came {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Romeo made a continuation bet for 7,000 and Romanello reraised to 16,000. Kisacikoglu and Romeo both called. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and all three players checked it back.

On the {4-Hearts} river, all players checked again. Kisacikoglu showed {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a pair of kings. It was no good, however, with Romeo showing {a-}{6-} for a pair of aces.

Nikolaos Lampropoulos: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

Jedlinski Forces Fold From Hammond

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With barely any chips in the middle to the {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} river, Youri Jedlinski was in the blinds and Mark Hammond had 21,500 in chips out in front from an early position. Jedlinski clicked it back to 56,500 and Hammond inquired "it's a reraise?" before he went into a long tank.

The clock was called on the Brit and he ended up folding on a table filled with notables and bigger stacks.
