The action was joined on a flop of 5♦9♣3♣, with Simon Higgins calling in the big blind after Aliaksei Boika made it 8,000.

A Q♥ came on the turn and Higgins checked it to Boika. The Slovenian made it 13,000 and was again called.

The river was a 3♠ and Boika put Higgins all in with 73,000 remaining. "That's a weird river bet," Higgins remarked, as he pondered the call. He did make it and showed K♠3♥ for trips, while Boika could only table Q♣9♦.

Higgins doubled up and left Boika with below starting stack.

PokerStars Announces Full Five Stop 2024 EPT Schedule; Paris and Cyprus Return

PokerStars has unveiled the full schedule for the 2024 European Poker Tour (EPT) season, which shows five destinations, including a return to EPT Paris and EPT Cyprus. Both Paris and Cyprus made their EPT debut in 2023, and they return for 2024, much to the delight of the players.

EPT Paris is the first stop of the 2024 European Poker Tour season. It takes place between February 14-25 at a new venue. The stunning Le Palais des Congres has a 120-table capacity, meaning there will be a more extensive schedule for the festival. Cedric Billot, Associate Director for Live Events and Operations, believes the new-look EPT Paris could be one of the largest EPT festivals on record.

Parker Talbot opened to 4,000 from the cutoff and was called by Juan Pardo in the big blind.

Pardo check-called a 4,500 bet from Talbot on the 10♦2♦9♦ flop and then both players checked on the Q♥ turn.

The 7♣ completed the board and Pardo fired 30,000 into the middle. Talbot called and Pardo showed K♦5♥. Talbot held A♥Q♠ for a pair of queens and was sent the pot.

The action was opened by Benjamin Spragg to 3,500 from the hijack. Lococo called on the button before Jules Dickerson three-bet to 17,500. Spragg folded, while Lococo made the call sending it heads up to the flop.

It came 8♠7♠7♣ and Dickerson's 20,000 bet was called.

The turn was a 4♣. The Englishman again made it 20,000 and Lococo called.

With Lococo covering Dickerson jammed the J♠ river. Holding just A♥10♥, the Argentine made an impressive herocall and saw Dickerson table K♣Q♣. Lococo chipped up to put himself among the chip leaders.

The Irishman checked the 2♥9♦5♠ flop and faced a bet of 6,000 from Andersson. Hand then raised to 13,000 and was called.

Both players checked the 10♣ turn.

It didn't take Andersson long to shove, though, as the 2♣ landed on the river. Hand was covered and had just 22,000 behind, but made the call.
