Lau Runs Into O'Dwyer's Set

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 20,000 on the button, Ka Kwan Lau three-bet to 80,000 in the big blind, and O'Dwyer called.

The flop came K♠J♥8♥ and Lau bet 60,000. O'Dwyer then raised to 180,000 and Lau called.

The 2♠ fell on the turn and Lau checked to O'Dwyer, who moved all in. Lau, with around 275,000 remaining, burned through multiple time banks before calling.

O'Dwyer showed 8♠8♦ for a flopped set and Lau turned over Q♦Q♠. The river was the 7♥ and O'Dwyer took the pot to send Lau crashing out of the tournament.

After Grzegorz Glowny opened from under the gun, Christos Argyriadis to his left, Eugenio Sanchioni in the small blind and Serge Chechin in the big blind called.

Sanchioni checked on the 5♣6♦5♥ flop, but Chechin led out for 8,000. Glowny called, then Argyriadis raised to 47,000. On the other side of the table, Eugenio three-bet to 100,000. But Chechin wasn't done yet as he four-bet all-in for 218,000.

Glowny and Argyriadis folded, but Sanchioni went into the tank. After a minute, the folded and let Chechin scoop the pot.

Tobias Garp opened to 16,000 from early position and action folded to Francesco Gisolfi, who shoved for approximately 170,000 from the hijack. It was folded back around to Garp, who quickly put in calling chips to put Gisolfi at risk.

The 2♦ fell on the turn and Atac again check-called — this time for a 90,000 bet from Spragg.

Both players checked down on the 8♠ river and Atac turnd over A♣7♣for a pair of sevens. Spragg revealed Q♥Q♠ and was sent the pot.

Schulze River Raise Leaves Kiviloo at Risk

The German checked it as the board came 3♣8♦5♣. Kiviloo bet 25,000 and was called.

As the 7♠ hit, Schulze led out for 35,000 and got a call.

He checked the 9♦ river, before Kiviloo made it 65,000. Schulze then upped it to 130,000 and it was enough to induce a quick fold from his opponent, who was left with a little over two big blinds.

The flop came J♠4♠7♠. Garp bet 25,000 and Thiriart called. The turn was the 5♠ and Garp bet again, this time for 52,000, which Thiriart called.

The river was the 7♦. Garp made a bet on the third street for 150,000, which proved too much for Thiriart. He found the fold and Garp scooped the pot.

Di Blasi was looking for his pair to hold to triple, while Marsh had Kocab dominated in the massive side pot with more than 1,000,000 at stake.

The flop came A♠J♣Q♥ and Kocab spiked two pair to take the lead. The 6♣ turn was safe, while the 2♥ river secured him the entire pot.

Di Blasi was eliminated, while the stacks of Marsh and Kocab were counted down and Kocab had 500,000 remaining. He barely had Marsh covered and sent both players to the rail.
