Zhao Shows Kyte a Better Two Pair

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jon Kyte opened to 140,000 from the hijack and was called by Cheng Zhao in the cutoff.

Zhao proceeded to call bets from Kyte on every street. First for 220,000 on the A10K flop, then for 770,000 on the 4 turn, and finally for an even 1,000,000 on the 3 river.

Kyte turned over K10 for kings and tens, but Zhao held A10 for aces and tens, which got a sigh from Ktye as Zhao dragged the sizable pot.

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Govert Metaal opened to 100,000 from the hijack with Q10 and Serge Chechin called from the small blind with 85.

Chechin checked on the JJ2 flop and Metaal bet 75,000. Chechin responded by making it 250,000 with eight-high. Metaal called.

The Q turn gave Metaal queens and jacks to go along with his flush draw, which came in after action checked through to the 3 river. Chechin continued bluffing and fired out 575,000. Metaal called and took in a nice pot before the break.

Jiri Kocab

Jon Kyte raised to 100,000 on the button and Cheng Zhao called in the small blind. Jiri Kocab then moved all in for 630,000 in the big blind and Kyte folded. Zhao, though, used a time bank before calling.

Jiri Kocab: A2
Cheng Zhao: A3

Both players were poised for a chop until the flop brought 10310, giving Zhao two pair. Kocab got up from his seat and put on his jacket as the A fell on the turn, giving both players the same two pair.

The river was the K and they chopped the pot. "The jacket trick," Kyte said as Kocab retook his seat.

"50K each. You're welcome," Kyte added.

Zhao Gets the Better of Kyte

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jon Kyte opened to 180,000 from the small blind and Cheng Zhao called from the big blind.

Zhao called a 140,000 continuation bet from Kyte on the 7210 flop and a 500,000 barrel from Kyte on the A turn.

Both players checked down on the 3 river and Kyte turned over 63 for a rivered pair of threes. They were no good against the A6 of Zhao for a pair of aces and Zhao added to his stack.

Big Slick for Spragg and Rodin

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Marle Spragg woke up with AK under the gun and opened to 100,000. Grigorii Rodin also had big slick AK and three-bet to 275,000. Govert Metaal made a shrewd fold with AQ from the big blind for the action to go back on Spragg, who jammed for 1,680,000. After using a time bank, Rodin called as the bigger stack.

The sweat-free board ran out with the QQ3Q7, and the players chopped the pot. Metaal's face was a picture after the spoils were shared as he would have ended up with quads had he got in the mix.

The next hand, Padraig O'Neill made it 100,000 under the gun and Adam Wagner called in the small blind.
