Gros Takes it Down on the River

Roberto Beccaria limped in from early position and Benjamin Gros raised to 700 from the next seat. Eloi Ferret called from the cutoff, Konstantinos Polymeropoulos called from the big blind, and Beccaria put in the extra chips to see a flop.

All four players checked the 2♣3♣5♣ flop to see the 9♥ fall on the turn. Polymeropoulos and Beccaria checked, and Gros bet 1,500. Ferret called and both Polymeropoulos and Beccaria folded.

The J♠ completed the board. Gros put 5,000 into the pot, which eventually yielded a fold from Ferret.

With two players seeing a board of J♠4♣5♣ and about 5,000 in the middle, Vardan Vardanyan bet 2,300 from middle position and was called by Joackim Fissenko in the hijack.

Vardanyan bet again for 4,000 on the 2♠ turn and was once again called by Fissenko.

On the 2♦ river Vardanyan checked and Fissenko bet 5,000. Vardanyan made the call.

Fissenko showed aces up with A♦A♣ which was enough to take down a sizable early pot.

Uri Gilboa, Harcharan Dogra, Samy Kerkeny, and Jean-Claude Thomas had all put in 1,200 chips preflop.

On the K♠5♠4♣ flop, Kerkeny led out with a bet of 5,200, and Thomas raised to 13,000. Both Gilboa and Dogra got out of the way, and Kerkeny took one more peek at his cards before he folded pocket jacks face up for the table to see.

The flop came Q♥9♠3♣ and Astra check-called a 700 continuation bet from Coppoolse.

Astra check-called another bet from Coppoolse on the 6♥ turn, this time for 1,500.

On the K♦ river Astra checked once more. Coppoolse bet 3,000 and this time it was enough to get a fold from his opponent.

Andres Korn is also at this table with roughly double the starting stack.

With over 7,000 in the pot on a board of 7♥5♣Q♦Q♥, Fahad El Mechraa checked it over to Piotr Druzba, who bet 5,000. El Mechraa quickly check-raised to 15,000 and Druzba took around a minute before he folded.

El Mechraa, who showed a bluff earlier, tabled another as he flipped J♦8♣ for just jack-high and scooped another pot.

With over 20,000 chips in the pot on a board of 10♣4♣6♣Q♦, Jacky Wong shoved all in on the turn for a little under pot and Rafik Chelihi was put to the test for the rest of his chips. It took a while for the Frenchman to make a decision, but ultimately he opted to fold and showed the table that he sent pocket tens into the muck for a flopped set.

With three players seeing a board of Q♠3♣4♥ and about 2,500 in the middle, Vardan Vardanyan checked from the small blind, Joackim Fissenko checked from the big blind and Agshin Ahmadli checked in the hijack.

On the 5♠ turn Vardanyan checked and Fissneko bet 400. Both Ahmadli and Vardanyan made the call.

Action checked around to Ahmadli who moved all in for his remaining stack of 2,600 on the 2♠ river. Vardanyan got out of the way while Fissenko made the call.

Fissenko showed a straight with 7♥6♥ but Ahmadli turned over a flush with 10♠9♠ to score the double up.
