Alioto sized up with a bet of 31,000 when checked to on the 9♠ turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from his opponent.

Raviteja Obili opened from middle position to 9,000 and Jean-Claude Thomas peeled out of the small blind.

They both saw a flop of 10♦A♠Q♠ which Thomas checked, Obili bet 7,000, and Thomas check-raised to 17,000. After thinking it through, Obili then shoved for 94,000, and Thomas snap-called.

A cooler of a flop saw Obili flop top two pair, but Thomas had flopped Broadway. A 9♦ on the turn did give Obili a flush draw to go along with his full house outs, but it was Thomas who held the lead with one card to come. Thomas smashed the table in frustration when he saw the Q♣ fall on the river as Obili spiked a full house to double up and snatch the pot away at the last opportunity.

With around 50,000 chips in the pot, a full board of 9♠J♦5♣4♣2♥ was showing when Shiina Okamoto fired 36,000 on the river. Luka Sorainen was the player with the decision and he was in the tank for a while before he finally made the call.

Okamoto tabled K♥10♦ for king-high, but Sorainen had made the right call with Q♦5♦ for a pair of fives and took the pot.

With almost 50,000 chips in the middle of the table and a board of Q♠8♠K♦A♥2♦ showing, Sebastien Compte had checked over to Yurii Zabrodotskyi, who had made a bet on the river. Compte then check-shoved, which put Zabrodotskyi to the test for his remaining stack of around 60,000. The clock was called as the decision was taking too long and with just a few seconds of the countdown remaining, Zabrodotskyi called.

Compte confidently tabled J♦10♠ for the nuts, and Zabrodotskyi showed he had made a light call with Kx10x for a pair of kings.
