Ryan Feldman, co-owner of Hustler Casino Live, revealed on PokerNews' Life Outside Poker podcast that he was kicked out of the 2016 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event over a conflict of interest stemming from his employment at ESPN.
In the 16th episode of the podcast, host Connor Richards speaks with the producer/founder of the most popular livestream in poker history about why he was booted from poker's biggest tournament, along with numerous other topics such as sports journalism, interviewing star athletes, leaving ESPN to start a poker stream, founding HCL and putting together some of the most entertaining lineups in poker history.
This interview was filmed in July at the 2024 WSOP inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

The fourth season of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) run by PokerStars is well underway and the action only continues to heat up with the recent schedule release for its marquee stop in Las Vegas. Running from Friday November 1st through Sunday November 10th at Resorts World Las Vegas, the series is not one to miss as it features a whopping 36 tournaments in the span of a week and a half.

Heads-up on a board of 2♥10♠8♣8♦, Mengshi Tian bet 4,200 from the cutoff and Dean Lyall called in the hijack.
The river was the 5♠ and Tian bet another 8,000. Lyall again called and Tian turned over K♦10♥ for two pair. Lyall mucked and Tian took down the pot.

Toni Kaukua raised to 1,000 in early position and Kiryl Asaulenka called in the hijack. Konstantin Ivanov then three-bet to 4,000 in the big blind and both opponents called.
Action checked to Asaulenka on the K♠8♠3♠ flop and he bet 2,500. Ivanov called, while Kaukua got out of the way. Both players then checked the 7♥ turn.
Ivanov led out for 5,500 on the 10♣ river and Asaulenka quickly folded.

Vladimir Korzinin opened to 1,000 from under the gun and received calls from Dzmitry Urbanovich in middle position, Derk van Luijk in the small blind, and Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind.
On the A♣Q♠7♦ flop, Korzinin continued for 1,600, Urbanovich raised to 4,500, and Van Luijk folded. In the big blind, Thorel raised to 10,000, Korzinin called, and Urbanovich used a time bank before he folded.
The 9♣ turn and 4♣ river both checked through.

Middleton then bet 12,500 and Murcia again called. Murcia checked over to Middleton on the 6♣ river, and Middleton this time checked back.
Middleton showed 10♥9♥ for two pair and Murcia also showed a ten before mucking.

With two players seeing a board of 4♠4♣2♣ and 7,200 in the middle, Artyom Smbatyan checked from the small blind and Slade Fisher bet 3,500 from the big blind. Smbatyan check-raised to 8,000 and Fisher called.
Smbatyan continued with a bet of 4,500 on the 6♦ turn and Fisher moved all in for around 30,000. Smbatyan snap-called with a covering stack to put Fisher at risk.

Fisher had turned a combo draw but was drawing dead against Smbatyan who had turned a full house. The 3♠ river changed nothing and Smbatyan took down a sizable early pot while Fisher made his exit from the tournament area.
