Sam Greewood raised to 13,000 on the button with A♣J♣ and was three-bet to 50,000 by Niklas Astedt from the small blind with A♥J♦. Greenwood called.

Greenwood called a 20,000 bet from Astedt on the 4♠7♦K♥ flop and both players checked on the 5♦ turn.

The 8♣ completed the board and Astedt checked a final time. Greenwood thought a while, but eventually decided to check it back and both players were sent half the pot.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 20,000 from middle position, Vladimir Korzinin three-bet jammed for 26,000 from the cutoff and Teun Mulder called on the button. Santhosh Suvarna isolated to 133,000 from the big blind, Thorel called and Mulder folded.

With action on the side, three players headed to a flop of 6♥8♠5♦. Suvarna continued for 40,000 and Thorel clicked it back to 80,000. Suvarna called.

The K♥ turn saw Suvarna check-call a bet of 100,000 from Thorel.

The 10♥ prompted Suvarna to play out of flow, moving all in for 265,000. Thorel made a quick call.

Sam Greenwood opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Thomas Santerne called from middle position. Jamil Wakil then squeezed to 65,000 from the cutoff, leaving himself just 1,000 behind, and Greenwood four-bet to 112,000.

Santerne got out of the way and Wakil called to put himself at risk.

Wakil found himself dominated, but the J♥7♠A♠ flop gave Wakil both straight and flush draws for a real sweat.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the 3♣9♦ turn and river bricked out and Wakil was eliminated.

On a 7♣5♦3♥6♠ board Tom Orpaz bet 45,000 into two opponents. Enrico Camosci called but Nick Petrangelo folded.

The river was the 8♥ and Orpaz quickly bet 100,000. Camosci called again.

Orpaz tabled 9♥9♦ for a rivered straight.

"Not sure if I needed the eight or not!" said Orpaz as he moved up to 400,000 in chips.

Following the successful return of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) in Las Vegas last year, PokerStars announced in May that the NAPT will return to Resorts World, Las Vegas, this November for another ten-day poker extravaganza.
