In a blind-on-blind situation, Giulio Astarita and Nicolas Lecoeuvre ended up getting all of the chips into the middle with the latter being the at-risk player for his stack of around 110,000.
Nicolas Lecoeuvre: J♣J♠
Giulio Astarita: A♦10♠
Lecoeuvre managed to hold on with his pocket jacks as the runout of K♦7♦6♣9♠6♠ left Astarita unimproved.
Alfie Usher moved his last 11,000 in blind under the gun. and was called by Jonas Stechbarth, Sokratis Linaras, and Guy Holtzman, while Salvatore Camarda and Martin Stausholm also came along for the ride in the blinds. Usher wasn't sure whether to be pleased or not with the action he received.
On the J♥J♠3♠ flop, Stechbarth led out with a bet of 21,000, only to be met with a raise to 65,000 by Linaras. That forced out the other opponents, with action folded back to Stechbarth. After some thought, he sighed and folded.
Alfie Usher: K♥7♣
Sokratis Linaras: J♣9♣
Usher was drawing dead versus Linaras's trip jacks, and the 3♦4♥ turn and river completed the board.
Thomas Lilamand raised from under the gun to 16,000 and Remy Murcia called from the next seat. Darren Rabinowitz then shoved for around 150,000, which got Lilamand to fold and Murcia called.
Darren Rabinowitz: A♣Q♦
Remy Murcia: A♦K♦
Rabinowitz took the lead on the 4♥2♠Q♠ flop after he paired his queen, which left Murcia needing to connect with one of the three remaining kings. A 4♠ turn was a brick and left Rabinowitz just one card away from a double-up, but he couldn't hold onto his lead as the K♠ river improved Murcia to a pair of kings.
Lex Veldhuis wasted no time in getting his chips into the middle and was the at-risk player with Alessandro La Cava looking to eliminate the Team PokerStars player.
Lex Veldhuis: Q♥Q♦
Alessandro La Cava: A♦J♣
La Cava picked up a flush draw on the turn but couldn't connect with it as the runout of 3♥3♣4♣10♣9♥ gave Veldhuis an early double-up on Day 2.
