On a board of K♦J♣A♣J♥, there were over 20,000 chips in the middle when both Ion-Silviu Scobai and Samuel Ju checked.

The river brought the 4♦ and Scobai fired out a bet of 12,000, which gave Ju a dilemma.

"I have a really good hand, but I never win when PokerNews is watching. If they weren't here, I'd snap-call," said Ju. After a short time thinking it over, Ju, somewhat reluctantly, dropped in the call.

Scobai then showed Q♥10♥ for a flopped straight, and Ju mucked his hand.

The board read 10♣A♣10♦J♣ and Simon Wiciak had checked from the big blind. Alexandr Khvan bet 3,000 from the hijack and Wiciak called.

The 6♠ hit the river and both players checked. Wiciak showed A♠9♠ and Khvan mucked his cards. Wiciak asked Khvan "You almost bluffed?"

Khvan responded by saying "Yes, but I rivered a pair."

Milen Bakardjiev raised from under the gun, Daniel Lakerveld called in early position and Bassel Moussa, in middle position three-bet to 8,600. Aleksandr Faterin, in the big blind, called off the bet for his last 7,600. Bakardjiev folded and Lakerveld called.

With action on the side, Lakerveld check-called a bet of 6,600 from Moussa on the 9♣2♥J♠ flop.

The 10♦ turn checked through to the 8♣ on the river. Lakerveld bet out 5,000 and Moussa made a quick call.

Martin Stausholm raised to 2,000 from early position with Denis Danut Chisu calling on the button. Denis Stoma then shoved for 19,000 from the small blind, which prompted Stausholm to jam over the top with the covering stack. Chisu folded and the others' cards were revealed.

Stoma had Stausholm dominated and was poised for a double-up. The board ran out A♣3♣3♠6♥10♥ to give Stoma the winner with a pair of aces and keep him in the tournament.

Firoz Mangroe raised from under the gun to 2,000 and Mathieu Goncalves called from the button. Mark Helou also called from the small blind.

The flop fell 2♦4♠K♠ where Helou checked it over to Mangroe, who fired 2,000. Both Goncalves and Helou called.

On the A♥ turn, the action checked to Goncalves, who bet 3,500. Helou then raised to 12,000, which got a quick fold out of Mangroe. Goncalves rechecked his cards and leant back in his chair, then elected to fold, relinquishing the pot to Helou.

A full board of K♠10♦10♥Q♠2♠ was showing with over 50,000 chips sitting in the middle when Aleksandr Timoshenko checked, and Stanislaw Grodek shoved. The two players had very similar stacks of just over 20,000 remaining, and after a while thinking, Timoshenko called .

Grodek then showed A♦J♦ for a straight, and Timoshenko's AxQ♣ went into the muck. The stacks were counted down and Grodek had slightly more, so Timoshenko was eliminated.
