The 5♦3♣2♠ flop kept the jacks in front, which improved to a set on the J♣ turn. Sfez needed a club the but the 2♥ filled Hysenbelli up instead.

Two hands later, Sfez called from under the gun, leaving 1,000 behind. Angel Martinez raised to 55,000 from the button which folded out the blinds. Sfez put in his last chip, but both players hesitated to show their cards.

Sfez turned over his first after the table told the duo to get on with it. Sfez had 4♥3♦ and then Martinez tabled his A♣A♥.

The J♥10♠3♥ flop gave Sfez a pair but he was drawing dead after Martinez made a set on the A♦ turn. The 7♦ river completed the board.

At the same time at another table, Gabi Livshitz and Eusebiu Jalba built a pot of around 400,000 as they went to the river on a board of 2♠9♣Q♣J♦5♥.

Livshitz then bet 375,000 from middle position and Jalba, in the hijack, went into the tank for several minutes. He eventually called with K♦Q♦ for a pair of queens and Livshitz sent king-jack into the muck.
