Antonius Puts Bonomo In a Tough Spot

Level 17 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Three players were looking at a board dealt to the turn as it read 29JQ.

Justin Bonomo, in the small blind, led out for 125,000. Orpen Kisacikoglu, in the big blind, folded and Patrik Antonius, in the hijack, called.

The 5 river saw Bonomo continue for 140,000. Antonius responded with a raise to 650,000, sending Bonomo deep into the tank. Clearly, in a tough spot, Bonomo burnt through five time bank chips before finally letting go of his cards.

Pieter Aerts

Byron Kaverman moved all in for 425,000 from the button. Pieter Aerts, who started the hand with just 20,000, called off the bet for his tournament life, in the small blind. Stephen Chidwick snap-called in the big blind and had both players at risk.

Pieter Aerts: 63 All in
Byron Kaverman: KQ All in
Stephen Chidwick: AQ

Chidwick held the best and was set for a double elimination until the dealer spread the 89K3K runout. Kaverman rivered trips to eliminate Aerts and more than double up in the process.
