Moran Holds With Pocket Queens

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Luis Rodolfo Gonzalez Moran was all in preflop for a touch over 20,000 against Valeriano Toledano Moreno, who had him well covered as players turned over their cards.

Luis Rodolfo Gonzalez Moran: QQ All in
Valeriano Toledano Moreno: AK

It was the most classic of poker races between queens and ace-king. The board ran out 1095109. Moreno picked up more outs with a flush draw on the turn as well as his overcards, but ultimately Moran held with his pocket queens.

Natoptanyi Smacks the River to Bust Derwiche

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A massive pot of around 50,000 was already in the middle as Imad Derwiche got his last 20,000 in on the turn with the board showing 10K68.

Oleksii Natoptanyi put him at risk from the cutoff with 99, but Derwiche had 66 for a set of sixes. The river was the 7 and Natoptanyi spiked a straight to send a stunned Derwiche to the rail.

"You need to win those hands," a tablemate said.

All-In Drama: Nasreddine's Triple Bust

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rania Nasreddine
Rania Nasreddine

The action kicked off when Dinesh Moorjani went all in with his remaining 4,600 chips. Four players promptly called, leaving only Barny Boatman on the button. Instead of just calling, Boatman decided to shove all in for 24,700.

With the decision now on Tomasz Mroz, he folded, and Kacper Swiderski, contemplating his move, weighed his options knowing two players remained behind him. Eventually, Swiderski opted to call the 24,700.

Suddenly, Rania Nasreddine jumped into the fray, going all in and covering all the players at the table. Not to be left out, Sergiy Dudka also pushed his chips forward, committing around 43,000 to the pot. The action then returned to Swiderski, who entered a lengthy tank, repeatedly checking his cards. Ultimately, he decided to fold, and the hand proceeded to showdown.

Barny Boatman: 73All in
Dinesh Moorjani: 7JAll in
Sergiy Dudka: QKAll in
Rania Nasreddine: 66

Nasreddine held the lead, and as the dealer revealed the flop of 25A, Swiderski exclaimed, "Of course there is an ace."

The turn 8 and river A failed to change the situation for those at risk, resulting in Nasreddine busting three players with a pair of sixes.

Later, Swiderski confided in his neighbor, "I had A8. What a crazy hand."
