Short Visit For Bracelet Winner Sturm

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Leon Sturm, a bracelet winner from last year's WSOP, joined flight 1b very late yesterday and began Day 2 with a small stack. He encountered his first setback when he lost a third of his chips on a 744Q board against Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

A few hands later, Sturm found himself up against Troyanovskiy again when he went all in for 10,500 from the big blind after Troyanovskiy's opening raise of 4,000.

Leon Sturm: A9All in
Vladimir Troyanovskiy: 910

What initially seemed promising turned sour when the board revealed 532107, giving Troyanovskiy a pair of tens and resulting in Sturm's elimination.

Amiel Plays His Hand Perfectly

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Hassan Nashar moved all in for 16,000 in middle position and Alexandre Amiel called in the cutoff.

Hassan Nashar: K9 All in
Alexandre Amiel: AA

Any hope Nashar had of cracking Amiel's aces evaporated once the flop came 7AA to give Amiel quads. The rest of the board came 49.

"Always a sweat," Amiel joked.

"You didn't need a sweat," Nashar replied as he headed for the rail.

"Tough to play," Amiel added.

"You played it perfectly. You're river play was spot on," Felix Schneiders joked.
