Gabi Livshitz, off of a stack around 65,000, three-bet to 12,000 from the small blind. Hulme jammed for 28,000, pushing out Calderone. Livshitz called and the cards went on their backs.

Leon Sturm, a bracelet winner from last year's WSOP, joined flight 1b very late yesterday and began Day 2 with a small stack. He encountered his first setback when he lost a third of his chips on a 7♥4♣4♦Q♣ board against Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

A few hands later, Sturm found himself up against Troyanovskiy again when he went all in for 10,500 from the big blind after Troyanovskiy's opening raise of 4,000.

What initially seemed promising turned sour when the board revealed 5♦3♥2♦10♦7♣, giving Troyanovskiy a pair of tens and resulting in Sturm's elimination.

Hirokazu Kobayashi raised to 3,500 in early position before Gediminas Uselis three-bet to 21,500 in the small blind. Kobayashi then moved all in and Uselis tanked for a minute until calling for around 80,000.

"Tough to play," Amiel added.

"You played it perfectly. You're river play was spot on," Felix Schneiders joked.
