A pot of around 120,000 was already in the middle as Eros Calderone and Kostadin Kostadinov went to the river on a board of 9♥4♦7♦2♥6♦.
Calderone then bet 125,000 from the cutoff and Kostadinov tanked for a moment before calling in early position. Calderone turned over 3♦2♦ for a rivered flush and Kostadinov shook his head and mucked.
Elias Gutierrez raised to 8,000 in early position before Joao Sydenstricker moved all in for 66,000 on the button. Action folded back to Gutierrez who called.
Joao Sydenstricker: 8♦8♥
Elias Gutierrez: A♣K♠
Sydenstricker leaned over the table filming the action as the board ran out Q♥6♠Q♦J♥9♣, earning last year's EPT Barcelona runner-up a double up.
At another table, Victorio Piturca raised to 9,000 in the cutoff and Ihar Soika called in the small blind. Samir Rahal then moved all in for 119,000 in the big blind, Piturca called, and Soika got out of the way.
Samir Rahal: A♥K♦
Victorio Piturca: Q♠Q♦
Piturca remained ahead on the 2♥3♦2♠ flop, but Rahal hit the A♦ on the turn to make two pair. The river was the 9♠ and Rahal also survived.
The action began when Daniel Oterhals and Julien Mariani both called from middle position and hijack. Selahaddin Bedir then raised to 28,000 from the cutoff, and was called by Mariani.
On the K♦4♦4♥ flop, Mariani check-called Bedir's bet of 18,000.
Bedir made another bet on the J♣ turn and once again, Mariani called.
Both players checked through the 9♣ river, and Mariani revealed 5♦5♥, which was enough to prompt Bedir to muck his cards.
Muhamet Perati raised to 8,000 from middle position, Eduardo Egea called, as did Danut Chisu in the small blind.
The flop came J♣7♣A♦ and all three players checked. The turn was 6♦ and Egea led out for 16,000. The other two players folded and Egea took a small pot.
Generally, action has slowed down around the room, some tables requiring constant floor intervention for taking too long and many pots ending with a preflop raise or three-bet.
Boijdar Boiadjiev raised to 8,000 in the hijack, Rania Nasreddine three-bet to 20,000 in the cutoff, and Boiadjiev called.
The flop came 10♦10♥K♦ and Nasreddine continued for 10,000. Boiadjiev called and the 5♣ turn was checked through.
The 2♠ fell on the river and Boiadjiev led out for 25,000. Nasreddine quickly called and Boiadjiev instantly mucked his hand as Nasreddine took the pot without showing.
Daniyar Aubakirov returned from break with just 22,000 and got them all in the middle the first hand. Adrian Chua called in early position to put him at risk.
Daniyar Aubakirov: 5♠5♣
Adrian Chua: 9♠9♦
Aubakirov was dominated and at risk as the board came 10♦J♥A♠3♦, but the river brought the 5♦ and Aubakirov spiked a two-outer to double up near the bubble.
