Parham Ahoor raised to 5,000 and then faced the three-bet shove for 34,500 by Nikolai Mamut. The reluctant call followed and Mamut was ahead going into the following showdown.
Nikolai Mamut: J♠J♣
Parham Ahoor: A♣2♣
The suited ace instantly got there with the A♥K♥9♠ flop but Mamut gained some outs with the 10♠ turn. No jack or queen followed, instead it was the 5♣ river that ended Mamut's run.
Maxime Chilaud jammed his stack in preflop with the A♦9♦ and was snapped off by Vladas Tamasauskas with the K♦K♥. The board ran out 7♣5♦4♥3♠8♠ and both stacks were counted. Tamasauskas' 69,000 covered by a small margin and that spelled the end for Chilaud on Day 1c.
Following an open raise, Daniel Smiljkovic three-bet and then Tamerlan Kaisinov moved all in. The open raiser folded and Smiljkovic made the call with a much bigger stack. Players turned their cards.
Tamerlan Kaisinov: A♥Q♠
Daniel Smiljkovic: 10♣10♠
The board ran out 4♣5♠2♦2♣J♥. Kaisinov couldn't improve and Smiljkovic held with his pocket tens to win the pot and bring his stack up to around 200,000. Kaisinov was eliminated from the flight.
Action folded around to Eric Wetzel, who shoved all in from the small blind for around 35,000. Alexandru Lupuleac made the call in the big blind and had Wetzel well covered as players flipped their cards.
Eric Wetzel: 8♥8♠
Alexandru Lupuleac: A♣8♣
The board ran out 5♣10♠4♥7♠A♠. Wetzel was well ahead with pocket eights, until Lupuleac paired his ace on the river. Wetzel let out a gasp and then stood to take his leave.
"At least I don't have to speak English anymore," said Wetzel.
Lupuleac laughed as he added yet more chips to his 300,000 stack.
Kacper Pyzara raised 5,500 under the gun, and Eric Geraume called in the cutoff before Armand Matti jammed 50,500 from the small blind. Pyzara folded, but Geraume stuck around with a call.
Armand Matti: A♥10♠
Eric Geraume: 9♥9♣
It was a flip and the board ran out 10♥5♦4♦10♦5♣, giving Matti a full house to remain in the tournament.
The pot stood at 24,500 with two players looking at a board of 3♥J♥7♠9♠.
Adrian Ibanescu, in the big blind, check-called a bet of 13,000 from Jean-Archibald Delafontaine, in the cutoff.
The 3♠ landed on the river and Ibanescu checked again. Delafontaine then placed a bet that looked large enough to put Ibanescu all in for his effective stack of 50,000. Ibanescu snap-folded.
