Almasan's Kings Hold to Eliminate Mangroe

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Firoz Mangroe opened 2,500 and Alin Almasan three-bet 6,500 on the button. The action quickly folded back to Mangroe and he made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of 1083, and Mangroe check-raised the bet of 8,500 to 20,000. Almasan called, thinking Mangroe had moved all in and almost exposed his hand, but the dealer informed him quickly that there were still chips behind.

When the Q hit the turn, Mangroe shoved his last 7,500 into the middle, and Almasan instantly called.

Firoz Mangroe: 109
Alin Almasan: KK

Mangroe flopped top pair, but was going to need to improve to beat the pocket kings of Almasan and the 3 river was no help as he exited the table.
