Valentin Oberhauser shoved for his last 400,000 on the button and just behind him, Fabio Peluso also shoved for more. The big blind folded and a showdown was held.
Valentin Oberhauser: K♥Q♦
Fabio Peluso: 9♦9♥
It was a race, but the A♥J♠3♣2♥J♦ runout came clean for Peluso’s nines and Oberhauser was sent to the payout desk.
Alessandro Pichierri raised to 60,000 under the gun before Henrik Juncker three-bet to 175,000 in middle position. Claas Segebrecht four-bet to 350,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Neilson five-bet to 920,000, leaving himself one 5,000 chip behind. Pichierri folded, but juncker moved all in for 650,000 and Segebrecht reshoved.
"If this guy folds," Segebrecht said as Neilson began tanking.
"I stop poker," tablemate Rony Halimi said.
"I will quit as well," Segebrecht said. Neilson eventually tossed in his last chip.
Henrik Juncker: A♦A♣
Daniel Neilson: K♥K♦
Claas Segebrecht: A♥A♠
Both Juncker and Segebrecht showed down a pair of aces, while Neilson was left holding two kings as the board ran out 8♠8♣4♦7♠2♠. Juncker and Segebrecht chopped the main pot, while Segebrecht took out Neilson in the side pot.
"I thought it was the other way around," Juncker said, pointing out that he thought Neilson had the aces.
Farid Jattin opened to 100,000 first-to-act and action folded around to Jose Plaza in the big blind, who announced he was all in. Jattin quickly called all in for approximately 300,000 total and a showdown was held.
Farid Jattin: Q♠Q♦
Jose Plaza: A♣J♦
Jattin was in good shape to double up with his queens and remained that way on the 4♥K♦6♦ flop and 7♦ turn; however, the A♠ appeared on the river to give Plaza a winning pair of aces and eliminate Jattin.
Vladimir Shabalin and Emmanouil Asgoudakis went heads-up to a flop of 9♠4♥4♠ with around 400,000 in the middle when both players got the rest of their chips in the middle.
Emmanouil Asgoudakis: 6♠6♣
Vladimir Shabalin: J♠J♣
Shabalin was ahead with his jacks and stayed in front on the 2♦ turn and 10♣ river. The stacks were counted down and Asgoudakis had 600,000 remaining. Shabalin barely had him covered and took the pot while Asgoudakis headed for the rail.
Jesse Lonis raised to 110,000 from early position and Aliaksei Boika three-bet to 240,000 on the button. Action folded back to Lonis, who asked for a count before announcing he was all in, which was enough to put Boika all in for approximately 800,000 total. Boika quickly called and hands were revealed.
Aliaksei Boika: J♠J♣
Jesse Lonis: 7♠7♦
Boika was in great shape to double with his overpair, but the 10♥7♣8♣ flop vaulted Lonis into the lead with a set of sevens and left Boika drawing slim.
The K♥ turn and K♦ river changed nothing and with that pot, Lonis is now over three million in chips.
Fabiano Kovalski raised to 100,000 in the cutoff before Vladimir Shabalin put him all in from the big blind.
"The last time I saw you was like ten years ago. How are you playing these days? Still go all in with anything?" Kovalski said before folding as Shabalin showed K♦J♠.
The next hand, Kovalski raised to 420,000 and Joao Mestre called in the cutoff. Naim Ouachekradi then moved all in from the big blind, Kovalski called for his last 200,000, while Mestre also called.
Ouachekradi stood up from his seat as he found himself dominating both opponents. The board ran out 10♠3♥5♣5♥9♥ and he took the pot with his king-kicker. The stacks were counted down and he had Mestre's last 1,200,000 covered, sending out both players and pushing his stack up around 3,000,000.
