Christy Loses Big Flip

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Woody Christy had open-raised from early position when Samuel Fournier made it 2,900 to go from the hijack. Andrei Konopelko and Sabare Atmani called cold in the blinds, after which Christy jammed all in for 30,900.

Fournier quickly got out of the way and Konopelko eventually followed suit. Atmani, however, stuck in a call with the bigger stack and the cards were turned over.

Woody Christy: AK
Sabare Atmani: 44

The 107810 runout brought some counterfeit outs for Christy, but the Q river bricked regardless. He took his leave while Atmani chipped up to over 150 big blinds.

Fruet Falls to Lee

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

With a pot of around 25,000 to the 1082J turn, Alessandro Fruet pushed all-in out of the big blind and Hwany Lee beat him into the pot from the under-the-gun position.

Alessandro Fruet: AK
Hwany Lee: JJ

"Of course," another player exclaimed when they saw the cards in showdown. Fruet needed a queen to survive but the K river was too little too late. Both stacks were counted and the 14,600 of Fruet were covered by Lee.

Mameche Among Leaders

Slimane Mameche
Slimane Mameche

After some prior preflop action, Adrian Chabbi jammed all in from the big blind for 16,800. Slimane Mameche made the call from under the under the gun, while the other players involved folded their cards.

Adrian Chabbi: AJ
Slimane Mameche: QQ

Mameche hit a set on the 7JQ flop, and the 5 turn locked up the pot. The 3 river was meaningless, and Chabbi quickly vacated the tournament room while Mameche neared a six-figure stack.

Bosman Busts to Kolgu

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

After an open-raise to 1,300 and some calls, Hans Bosman made it 6,700 to go from the big blind. The action then folded to Mehmet Kolgu, one of the initial callers, in middle position, who reraised to 25,000, enough to put Bosman all in.

Bosman made a quick call and the cards went on their backs.

Hans Bosman: AQ
Mehmet Kolgu: AK

The 9101085 board could not save Bosman despite the flopped chop outs. He quickly departed while Kolgu chipped up to three starting stacks.

Schulz Pulls on Beresford's Udders

Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Robert Schulz opened to 800 from early position and was called by Conor Beresford from middle position. Fabrice Bigot three-bet to 2,800 from the button and saw both players call.

The 963 flop checked through to the 8 turn. Schulz led out for 3,000, and only Beresford called.

Schulz fired out another 5,000 on the 2 river, and after some brief deliberation, Beresford called.

Schulz tabled 66 for a set of sixes.

"Absolutely milked," chuffed Beresford as he mucked his cards. "I thought you'd have been greedier."

However, a few moments later, Beresford was seen leaving his seat as his stack was collected by a player at his table.

Fouad Rabahie
Fouad Rabahie

Michael Kramer, under the gun, got his stack of little more than 30,000 chips in the middle on a flop of 656 against Fouad Rabahie in the big blind.

Michael Kramer: AA
Fouad Rabahie: 106

Kramer's aces were no match against the flopped trips of Rabahie, who won yet another pot when the board ran out 97.

Kramer sighed as he went to the exit, while Rabahie thanked the dealer for his good fortunes.
