Spragg Receives Scary Double-Up

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action was caught as the cards were swept away, but Benjamin Spragg had gone all in in the big blind on a completed king-high board and had been called by Ken Oberlieben in the small blind.

Spragg's K8 for top pair outkicked Oberlieben's K6 and he raked in the pot.

"Weren't you at least scared when I snapped you off?", Oberlieben asked.

"A bit," Spragg admitted.

Heads-up on a board of 3538, Rayan Chamas led out for 23,000 from the big blind and Gregory Fournier called under the gun.

The river was the 2 and Chamas bet 55,000, leaving himself only 7,000 behind. Fournier tanked for more than a minute before calling.

Chamas showed QQ, but Fournier had KK to take the pot and climb above 500,000.

Treccarichi Expands Big Stack

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Walter Treccarichi
Walter Treccarichi

Stanislav Zegal and Walter Treccarichi had gathered 39,500 chips preflop when Zegal checked from the big blind on a J84 flop. Treccarichi then made a bet of 15,000 and Zegal called.

On the 4 turn, Treccarichi fired 28,000 more after another check, and Zegal once again put in the same amount. The 5 river was then checked down and Zegal showed QJ for top pair.

However, Treccarichi had him pipped with KJ for the same pair with a better kicker. He scooped up a big pot and ended up with more than ten starting stacks.

No Miracle Comeback for Ghassan

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ibrahim Ghassan was all-in for the last 1,000 from under the gun and Max Neugebauer raised to 4,500. Jonathan Borenstein defended the big blind and check-folded the 963 flop to a bet of 2,500 by Neugebauer.

Ibrahim Ghassan: Q6
Max Neugebauer: AJ

Ghassan was ahead and came out on top of the 34 runout.

One hand later, Edward Yam opened to 4,000 and Ghassan called all-in for as much out of the big blind.

Ibrahim Ghassan: 107
Edward Yam: A9

A roller coaster board of AK1034 ensured another double for Ghassan.

"They are writing down your name," Andrew Hulme joked as a potential chip and a chair comeback could unfold. Unfortunately, that was not the case as Ghassan bowed out shortly after.

Greenwood Finishes Off Alt

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Terry Vlastos raised to 4,500 under the gun before chip leader Gregory Fournier three-bet to 13,500 in the hijack. Dinesh Alt then moved all in for 52,000 on the button, Sam Greenwood reshoved for around 65,000 in the big blind, and Vlastos and Fournier both folded.

"Kings," Alt asked Greenwood.

"Aces," Greenwood replied.

Dinesh Alt: AQ
Sam Greenwood: AA

"Oh no. I need some help," Alt said, but the K426K board didn't give him any and Greenwood sent him to the rail.

"You guys have anything," Greenwood asked Vlastos and Fournier after Alt had made his exit.

"King," Vlastos replied, saying he had king-jack.

"I had pockets," Fournier added.

Alex Kulev and Rayan Chamas are also at this table.

Aurelijus Sipavicius: Q10
Gianluca Speranza: 66

The classic flip brought just one club and no paint on the 75235 runout to send Sipavicius out of the tournament.

Luis Rodriguez Cruz
Luis Rodriguez Cruz

The board read 1010324 and around 30,000 was in the pot when Luis Rodriguez Cruz moved all in for 59,000.

His opponent Tomasz Gluszko went into the tank but ultimately made the call and was heading for the door when Cruz showed 56 for the rivered straight, having also turned a flush draw.

Gluszko had 107 for trip tens, but unfortunately for him, he had been overtaken on the river.
