Zervos Finds the Right Time to Wake Up With Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Sergey Lebedev moved all in for 15,000 under the gun and Samuel Polack reshoved for around 25,000 in the hijack. Action folded to Alexios Zervos in the big blind who took a peek at his cards and snap-called.

Sergey Lebedev: 55
Samuel Polack: 66
Alexios Zervos: AA

Zervos had both players crushed with his two aces and left them nearly drawing dead as the 79A further gave him top set. The board ran out 8Q and Zervos scored the double knockout.

Touri Takes Out Talbot and Baumann

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Parker Talbot shoved in early position and the dealer counted out his stack of 16,000 chips. Adil Touri made the call in the hijack before Gaelle Baumann also moved all in for just 500 chips more. Touri called and the hands were turned up.

Parker Talbot: 22
Gaelle Baumann: AQ
Adil Touri: AJ

Touri had the worst of it but jumped in front on the 4J6 flop. The 5 turn brought Baumann a flush draw, but the A river was no help.

Touri sent both Baumann and Talbot to the rail early on Day 2.

Haiche Picks Off Ribeiro

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

EPT Prague champion Padraig O'Neill has chipped up to around 170,000 so far on Day 2, but he was a mere spectator this hand as tablemate [Removed:482] raised to 3,000 on the button. Bruno Ribeiro then three-bet to 15,000 in the big blind and Haiche called.

The flop came 889 and Ribeiro continued for 8,000. Haiche called and the 2 fell on the turn.

Ribeiro then moved all in and Haiche tanked for a minute before calling for his last 36,500. Ribeiro could only show AJ for ace-high, while Haiche turned over 1010.

The river was the 6 and Haiche's pocket tens held up to earn him the double up.

Set Good for Arduini

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Lorenzo Arduini
Lorenzo Arduini

Daniel Custodio opened to 3,000 from early position and was called by FPS Paris Stade Jean Bouin 2023 champion Lorenzo Arduini in the cutoff, along with PokerStars Pro Ramon Colillas and Christos Argyriadis in the blinds.

The Q102 flop was checked through by all players.

On the 4 turn action was checked to Arduini and he put out a bet of 6,500. Colillas folded but Custodio and Argyriadis both called.

The 8 river brought one-card flush possibilities and the street was checked through.

Argyriadis turned over Q9 for top pair queens but Arduini said "I can beat that" and turned over 44 for a turned set of fours, which was good enough to send the pot his way.

Machado Vanishes After Tussle With Buldygin

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Viacheslav Buldygin
Viacheslav Buldygin

On a completed board of 10862Q, Viacheslav Buldygin checked and Hugo Machado bet 14,000. Buldygin then check-raised to 34,500 for almost all of his stack, keeping just 1,500 in chips behind.

Machado asked for a count and was in the tank while Bryn Kenney arrived casually in a Japanese jacket, telling Lexy Gavin-Mather he "had a nice breakfast first". Machado called a few seconds later and Buldygin rolled over the Q8 for two pair, while Machado exposed his QJ.

The hand left Machado with three blinds and they vanished shortly after. Also featured on the table are Stan Jablonski, Dimitar Danchev, as well as Vlad Darie.
