Fedorca Stops The Bleeding; Chats His Way to a Double

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Gheorghe Fedorca
Gheorghe Fedorca

Joining the action on the Q648 turn, Francisco Perez Moreno bet 5,500 out of the big blind. Gheorghe Fedorca then raised to 14,500 in the cutoff and Perez Moreno called.

That led them to the K on the river, on which the Spaniard checked. Fedorca moved all-in near instantly and Perez Moreno sighed loudly, sunk into his chair, groaned and asked for a count which happened to be 48,500.

What followed was a tank of more than three minutes during which both players chatted back and forth. Fedorca was smirking, albeit hiding half of his face behind a scarf and he was the one to do most of the talking.

"No flush ... what do you have, a queen?" Fedorca asked.

Perez Moreno responded "bad combo ... very bad hero call," without coming to a conclusion just yet.

Ultimately, the Spaniard asked Fedorca if he likes bluffing.

"Me? Bluff? Never," Fedorca said with a grin on his face and several players at the table chuckled.

"What do you have?" Fedorca inquired again and Perez Moreno replied "I don't see my card."

Aleksejs Ponakovs was one of the spectators and gave Perez Moreno another half a minute before he called the clock. During the thirty second countdown, the call followed and Fedorca tabled the 44 for a set.

"I know ..." Perez Moreno sighed and exposed his Q9.

The table broke right after with the Spaniard leaving on a nub and around two dozen eliminations away from the money bubble.
