A highly unusual situation just unfolded at Table #11 during a hand between Paawan Bansal and Hrvoje Mitrovic.
According to the action recounted to PokerNews, the player on the button opened the betting, Mitrovic called from the small blind, and Bansal three-bet from the big blind. The button folded, and Mitrovic called to see a flop.
The flop came down 2♣J♦4♣, and Mitrovic check-called a continuation bet from Bansal. When the A♦ appeared on the turn, Mitrovic again check-called, this time for 2,700.
The river brought the 10♠, and Mitrovic immediately moved all-in for roughly 23,000 — about twice the size of the pot — igniting drama at the table.
"What are you doing to me here?" Bansal asked. "Will you show if I fold?"
Mitrovic, who had been covering his cards with both hands since shoving, inadvertently revealed his holdings — K♦8♦ — as he fumbled his cards momentarily. With that information in hand, Bansal declared, "Sorry, I have to call."
"This is sick," remarked Mitrovic as he turned over his cards officially. Bansal revealed 4♠3♠ for a pair of fours, enough to scoop the pot in this extraordinary hand.
"Sorry man, you either had king-queen or nothing, I wanted to call," Bansal finished with.

Antoine Vranken opened the action to 400 from middle position, and Anton Bergstrom three-bet to 1,000 from the cutoff. On his direct left, Haci Bayram attempted to raise to 1,400 but, not seeing Bergstrom's three-bet, was informed by the dealer that he has to call. Vranken also called, creating a three-way pot.
The flop came K♠9♠8♣. Vranken checked, and Bergstrom bet 1,500. Bayram responded with a raise to 3,500, prompting Vranken to fold. Bergstrom made the call to continue heads-up.
The turn brought the Q♦, and after Bergstrom checked, Bayram fired 3,500 again. The bet was enough to take down the pot, with Bayram's aggression paying off.

With around 1,800 already in the pot and the board reading K♥A♣Q♣6♦, Simon Lofberg, first to act, checked over to Lasse Hansen. Hansen took the lead with a bet of 900, putting the decision back on Lofberg. After some long deliberation, Lofberg opted to call.
The J♣ landed on the river, and Lofberg checked once more. Hansen, appearing less confident, decided against another bet and checked back.
At showdown, Lofberg revealed A♥5♦ for a pair of aces, which was enough to take down the pot as Hansen mucked his cards without further contest.

Following an early position raise and call, Massimo Segatto three-bet to 2,400 from the hijack and John Kitchen called in the cutoff. They were the only two players to reach the flop, as the rest of the table folded.
The flop came 5♥8♦4♦ and Segatto continued the aggression with a bet of 3,100, which Kitchen called. Segatto then checked on the K♣ turn and Kitchen checked behind.
The river was the J♦ and Segatto put out a bet of 4,000. Kitchen went into the tank, resting his head on his arms as he stared across at his opponent. He eventually made the call and Segatto turned over A♥A♦ to win the pot.

It's only Level 2 and Day 1b of the Main Event has already surpassed 500 entries.
Last year's second flight had 838 runners, can that be beaten?
Marcin Puczylowski opened to 600 from middle position and was called by Peter Jaksland in the cutoff. Liwei Sun then squeezed to 2,500 on the button and both Puczylowski and Jaksland called for a bloated three-way pot.
Action checked to Sun, who continued for 3,000 on the Q♣7♥8♦ flop. Puczylowski called and Jaksland folded.
Both players checked on the 10♣ turn and then Puczylowski led out for 1,500 after the 8♠ completed the board. Sun looked a bit pained over his decision, but he eventually decided to lay his hand down — conceding the pot to Puczylowski.
