Neugebauer Wins a Four-Bet Pot

Fabrice Bigot raised to 4,000 from the hijack before Vitalijs Korhs three-bet to 9,000 from the cutoff. Max Neugebauer four-bet to 19,000 from the button, which got a fold from Bigot, but a call from Korhs.

Korhs checked the A♠5♥5♣ flop and Neugebauer put out a continuation-bet of 6,000. Korhs called.

After Korhs checked the 6♥ turn and Neugebauer fired a second barrel, this time for 13,000. Korhs thought it over briefly but decided to let go of his hand and forfeit the pot to Neugebauer.

Pichierri Puts Pihela to the Test with River Pressure

According to a player at the table, the hand began with Alessandro Pichierri limping from the small blind, and Igor Pihela checking his option in the big blind.

Both players took a cautious approach, checking the 5♠7♦4♠ flop.

The turn brought the A♠ turn and Pichierri checked, prompting Pihela to bet 10,000. Pichierri responded with a raise to 30,000, and after some consideration, Pihela made the call.

By the time PokerNews joined the action, the board read J♥ on the river, and Pichierri had moved all in for 78,000, putting Pihela to a difficult decision for his tournament life. Pihela, holding a shorter stack, went deep into the tank, weighing his options for an extended period before ultimately folding his hand.

Pichierri scooped the pot, boosting his stack significantly as Pihela was left to regroup.
