Anton Bergstrom raised to 100,000 from under the gun with A♣J♣. Danut Chisu called from the button with K♦Q♣ and Paul Runcan defended his big blind with 6♠6♥.
The 7♣4♥9♥ flop got checked through to see the Q♦ fall on the turn. After it checked to Chisu he fired out a bet of 120,000 and got two folds from his opponents.
Siegfried Kapeller kicked off the action with a raise to 100,000, picking up calls from both blinds.
On the 8♠6♣J♦ flop, the blinds checked to Kapeller, who continued for 100,000. Tjenno Eskes in the small blind was the only one to stick around.
The 3♣ turn saw another check from Eskes, prompting Kapeller to fire a bigger bet of 370,000. Eskes quickly called.
When the 3♥ river arrived, both players checked, and the hand went to showdown. Eskes tabled Q♣J♣ for two pair, jacks and threes, which was enough to take it down as Kapeller sent his cards into the muck.
Georgios Vrakas raised to 100,000 from the button with only Anton Bergstrom calling out of the big blind.
After Bergstrom checked the 8♥A♠4♠ flop, Vrakas bet 100,000 and was met by a check-raise to 275,000 by Bergstrom. Vrakas called to see a turn.
The flush completing Q♠ hit the turn and Bergstrom continued with a bet of 225,000. Vrakas called again.
A 5♥ came on the river and Bergstrom bet 175,000. Vrakas burned through one of his time bank cards before making the call. Bergstrom turned over the winner with 8♠4♥ for a flopped two pair. Vrakas mucked A♦10♠ for a pair of aces, and the pot was pushed to Bergstrom
Siarhei Alontsau has had a rough orbit and lost three hands in a row, which did some damage to his stack.
First, Alontsau raised from under the gun to 100,000 and got called by Barak Oz in the next seat, Siegfried Kapeller in the cutoff, and Tjenno Eskes on the button.
They went to a flop of Q♠2♣6♣ where Alontsau checked, Oz bet 215,000, Kapeller folded, Eskes called, and Alontsau folded.
On the 8♥ turn, Oz check-folded to Eskes' bet of 550,000.
In the next hand, Eskes raised the cutoff to 100,000 and Alontsau called out of the big blind.
On the Q♠8♦7♣ flop, Alontsau check-called a bet of 85,000 from Eskes to the 8♥ turn, which went check-check.
A 4♥ dropped on the river and Alontsau check-called a bet of 225,000 from Eskes, then mucked when he saw his opponent's K♥Q♥ for top pair.
Finally, Dimitrios Gkatzas raised to 100,000 early position and Kapeller called in middle position. Alontsau also called from the small blind.
On the 8♠5♣Q♦ flop, it checked to Kapeller, who fired 130,000. Only Alontsau called to the 8♣ turn, which checked through.
A 5♠ on the river double-paired the board, and Alontsau fired out 150,000. After some consideration, Kapeller called. Alontsau showed 10♣10♠, but he was beaten by the K♣Q♣ of Kapeller.
In the final hand before the break, Siarhei Alontsau opened the action from early position with a raise to 100,000. Dimitrios Gkatzas responded with a three-bet to 225,000 from the cutoff, and Alontsau made the call.
The flop came K♣A♠2♠, and Alontsau immediately shoved all in, putting Gkatzas to the test for his tournament life. With Alontsau holding a significantly larger stack, the decision was far from easy. Gkatzas burned through two time bank cards, agonizing over the high-pressure spot. Ultimately, he decided to fold, preserving his tournament run but surrendering the pot to Alontsau.
Joshua McSwiney raised to 100,000 with A♠8♣ from the hijack and Sylwia Studniarz three-bet to 300,000 from the cutoff holding Q♦J♥. Danut Chisu looked down at K♦K♣ on the button and four-bet to 900,000. McSwiney and Studniarz folded, and Chisu pulled in the pot.
Sylwia Studniarz raised to 175,000 from early position with Pedro Marques defending out of the big blind.
Marques check-called a bet of 100,000 from Studniarz on the K♣J♥6♥ flop.
The 3♠ turn and A♥ river checked through and Studniarz flipped over A♠Q♣ for a rivered pair of aces to win the pot. Marques mucked K♦Q♥ and the pot went over to Studniarz.
