From under the gun Espen Jorstad raised to 80,000 and only Aleksejs Ponakovs called from the big blind.
Ponakovs started with a check on the 3♥8♦4♦ flop, and Jorstad fired out a bet of 55,000. Ponakovs decided to check-raise to 200,000, and Jorstad continued in the form of a call.
Ponakovs led out for 175,000 upon seeing the 5♣ turn and was met by a jam from Jorstad. Ponakovs called for the rest of his stack to put himself at risk.
Aleksejs Ponakovs: A♥2♣
Espen Jorstad: A♣2♥
Both players had the same straight, and the irrelevant 10♠ completed the board, meaning they chopped the pot.
David Coleman made it 90,000 from the button and Espen Jorstad defended from the big blind.
Jorstad knuckled the action over to Coleman on the 2♠10♦J♠ flop. Coleman bet 60,000, which Jorstad called.
The 8♥ rolled off on the turn and Jorstad checked for a second time. Coleman fired a second barrel of 180,000, and Jorstad again called, and Coleman won another pot.
Both players checked the 7♠ river and Jorstad turned over A♦10♥ for a pair of tens. This was second best to the two pair of Coleman holing J♣8♣.
David Coleman raised to 80,000 from the cutoff with Espen Jorstad calling from the small blind and Jesse Lonis defending his big blind.
Jorstad led out for 60,000 on the 8♠8♣Q♥ flop and only Coleman called.
The 5♥ turn and A♥ river checked through, and Jorstad tabled 6♦6♣ for a pair of sixes. Coleman had that beat with K♣Q♦ for a pair of queens, and the pot went over to him.
On the first hand of the day, David Coleman jammed from the small blind when the action folded to him, and Punnat Punsri snap-called for his stack of 760,000 from the big blind.
Punnat Punsri: K♠K♣
David Coleman: A♥5♣
Punsri looked poised to have a dream start to the day, if his cowboys could hold against the ace-five of Coleman.
However, the A♠10♦5♠ flop catapulted Coleman into the lead with two pair. The remainder of the board came 6♥4♥, and Punri was the first casualty of the day.
