While Antoine Saout and Simon Wiciak were taking their seats at the table, Chakib Bennani raised from the button but Selim Amghar in the small blind three-bet to 1,200. The big blind folded and Bennani four-bet to 3,600. Amghar called.

The dealer fanned a flop of 9♥7♥8♠ and after Amghar checked, Bennani bet 3,500. Amghar went into the tank and folded A♣K♠ face up.

A few hands after this one, Amghar was already eliminated like three other players before him.

Tricarico Fills Up to Score the First Knockout

Alexandro Tricarico and Billal El-Tanji had already built a pot of around 10,000 as they went heads-up to the turn on a board of J♣Q♣8♦7♣. El-Tanji then bet 5,500 from the cutoff and Tricarico called on the button.

The river was the 7♦ and El-Tanji moved all in. Tricarico snap-called and turned over Q♥Q♣ for a full house. El-Tanji threw 7♠5♠ into the muck as the stacks were counted down. Tricarico had El-Tanji's remaining 17,300 covered, and El-Tanji hit the rail as the first elimination of the day.
