David Kaufmann

Rauno Kiviloo opened to 600 from early position, and right next to him David Kaufmann three-bet to 2,200. Action folded around to Jerry Odeen in the small blind, who came in with a four-bet to 7,700. Kaufmann was the only caller.

On the 234 flop, Odeen continued for 4,000, and Kaufmann raised it up to 11,000. After a bit of thought, Odeen made the call.

The 9 turn went check-check, and Odeen checked again on the 4 river. Kaufmann then moved all in for 31,700. Odeen clearly didn’t like it, taking his time and checking his cards a few times before finally letting them go. Kaufmann dragged in the pot without showdown.

Robinson Puts Carbo in the Blender

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

The action was joined with a full board already out, and Lukas Robinson and Gerard Carbo competing for a pot with 12,700 in the middle.

With the board showing J884J, Robinson, acting from middle position, placed a bet of 15,000. Carbo went deep into the tank, with the hand catching the attention of bystanders on the rail. After a few minutes had passed, Carbo opted to flick in a call.

Robinson revealed K10 for a failed bluff as Carbo flipped over his 1010.

Ivan Zhechev raised to 700 in early position, receiving calls from Kees van Brugge in the hijack and Thomas Eychenne on the button. Small blind Houssem Meftahi then squeezed in a three-bet to 3,100.

Zhechev quickly folded, accidentally exposing his 76. Van Brugge and Eychenne both called, after which the Q910 flop and 10 turn were checked by all players.

Meftahi checked again on the K river, but Van Brugge bet 6,800. Eychenne called, and Meftahi sighed as he folded and showed a 10x while doing so.

Van Brugge opted not to show his hand, granting the pot to the tournament chipleader without a showdown.

Straight Flush Sends Two to the Rail

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Maurizio Giuseppucci limped from early position, and action folded to Gary Fisher in the hijack, who raised to 2,000. Andrei Trubchyk called from the small blind, and when the action came back to Giuseppucci, he shoved all in for his remaining 5,800. Both opponents called.

On the 485 flop, Trubchyk checked, and Fisher bet 500. Trubchyk then raised to 2,500, only for Fisher to three-bet to 4,500. Trubchyk responded by moving all in for around 16,000, and Fisher snap-called, sending the cards on their backs.

Giuseppucci showed 88 for a set of eights, while Trubchyk tabled KQ for a flopped flush. But Fisher had them both crushed as he revealed 76 for a flopped straight flush, drawing gasps and laughter from the table.

The board completed with the 2 and K, sending both Giuseppucci and Trubchyk to the rail. “What are the odds?” Fisher said with a grin. “I’ve never seen something like that,” he added while stacking his new gained chips.
