The remaining players have been sent on a 20-minute break.
Alessandro Merelli raised to 3,000 from the cutoff, and only Markus Bonus called, defending his big blind.
Both players checked on the Q♦6♥6♠ flop, which prompted Bonus to take over the betting lead on the 10♦ turn. He placed 3,500 into the middle, which Merelli called.
The river 7♣ didn't slow Bonus down, continuing with a bet of 11,500. Merelli opted to call but saw the bad news when Bonus flipped over Q♥9♣. Unable to beat top pair, Merelli returned his cards to the dealer face down.
David Docherty kicked the action off, moving all in for 14,500. Jacob Stone was the only player to make the call, putting Docherty at risk.
David Docherty: A♠5♠
Jacob Stone: A♣Q♠
The flop A♥4♣2♦ saw Docherty calling for a three, but he settled for the 5♣ turn, which saw him take the lead.
This left Stone calling for a three, and the deck obliged, the river 3♠ seeing both players make a wheel straight and chop the pot.
Milos Petakovic raised from the button and called when Giuseppe Domicoli three-bet from the small blind.
Domicoli jammed in his stack of 43,500 into a pot of around 35,000. Petakovic thought for a few moments before making the call.
Giuseppe Domicoli: 9♥9♦
Milos Petakovic: 5♥5♦
Domicoli had Petakovic drawing dead after the 7♣ turn ahead of the A♥ river.
Marton Czuczor in the cutoff opened to 3,000 and called after the chip leader at the beginning of the day Jianwei Lin three-bet to 9,500 from the small blind.
Lin continued for 5,500 on a flop of Q♥9♥6♥, then fired a second barrel of 16,500 on the J♣ turn. Czuczor check-called both times.
The 8♠ river completed the board of Lin moved all-in. Czuczor went into the tank but folded.
Nicola Spallanzani opened to 3,000 from the button and was called by Razvan Scutaru from the small blind. Dimitri Steinfeuer three-bet to 14,500 and called off his stack of around 50,000 when Spallanzani jammed. Scutaru had gotten out of the way.
Razvan Scutaru: K♠Q♦
Nicola Spallanzani: A♦K♥
Spallanzani remained best, making aces and kings on the K♣7♣6♥2♠A♣ runout.
