Boris Angelov raised to 250,000 under the gun and Jamil Wakil called in the cutoff, while Miguel Capriles also came along from the big blind.

The flop came 10♣4♥3♥ and Angelov bet 230,000. Wakil folded, but Capriles moved all in for 2,035,000 and Angelov snap-called.

Capriles needed to hit a king or complete a flush draw to overcome Angelov's top pair, but he missed the 4♦ turn and 7♣ river and was eliminated in seventh place to bring Day 5 to a close.

With that bustout, Angelov takes the chip lead into the final day of the EPT Monte-Carlo Main Event for the second consecutive year.

In the second hand back from the dinner break, Mariusz Golinski open-raised to 210,000 from the button with A♦K♣ and Leon Zeaiter called with J♣7♠ in the big blind.

On the 2♠A♥8♦ flop, Zeaiter led for 220,000 and Golinski called with a pair of aces. Zeaiter picked up a pair of sevens on the 7♣ turn and led again for 460,000, which Golinski called again.

With 1,930,000 already in the pot, Zeaiter used a time bank card and then jammed all in for 1,740,000 on the 4♦ river. Golinski only took a moment before making the call with the covering stack to win a huge pot, bringing his stack up to 6,260,000.

Zeaiter, who had provided a lot of entertainment and action since the final table started, was eliminated in eighth place for €118,500.

Boris Angelov open-raised to 160,000 from under the gun and Miguel Capriles called on the button. Leon Zeaiter used a time bank card before moving all in from the small blind for 1,540,000. Kestutis Jungevicius called all in from the big blind with a short stack of 250,000 and Angelov isolated with a shove. Capriles folded and three players flipped their cards.

"King, king," called out Zeaiter.

The flop came K♠K♦10♣ to give Zeaiter trip kings. The turn came the 6♥ and river the Q♣. Zeaiter won the pot, doubling his stack through Angelov and sending Jungevicius to the rail.

"So nice," said Angelov.

"I am king for Germany," said Zeaiter as he pulled in a huge pot worth over 2,000,000.

Jungevicius tapped the table and shook his opponent's hands as he left. He was the first to be eliminated from the final table, finishing in ninth place for €90,850.

Shaganov had top pair, but Coppola had flopped a set to leave Shaganov looking only for a straight to stay alive. The 3♠ turn was no help, while the river was the 4♥ and Shaganov went around the table exchanging fist bumps with his former tablemates while the rest of the table celebrated making it to the final nine.

The remaining nine players are taking their seats at the final table.
