Patrick Gaonach: A♦J♣
Cuesta was ahead with his kings, while the Q♣10♥9♠ flop gave Gaonach a straight draw. The 5♦ turn was safe for Cuesta, while the river came the 10♦ and he doubled up.
At another table, Roberto Ghidini had opened to 4,000 in early position and Roman Stoica called in the cutoff. Candido Cappiello then moved all in for 42,500 in the big blind and only Ghidini called.

Padraig O'Neill: A♣J♣
Mahersh Selvakumaran: A♦K♥
The 2023 champion was dominated as the board came 3♥2♠6♣5♠, leaving him a card away from elimination, but O'Neill spiked the J♠ on the river to win the pot and double up.
Quentin Saint-Martin moved all in for 35,500 from under the gun and Matthias Auer called on the button.

Tomas Pleticha raised to 3,000 in the hijack and Marc Foggin called in the cutoff. Anton Siden then three-bet to 13,000 in the small blind, and both opponents called.
The flop came 9♠7♣2♠ and Siden led out for 12,000. Pleticha called, but Foggin moved all in for 74,000. Siden took a few seconds before folding, while Pleticha quickly called off his last 40,000.
