Conor O’Driscoll leads the way into the event’s penultimate day with 3,530,000 as he tries to follow in the footsteps of fellow Irishman Padraig O’Neill, who won this event two years ago. Bora Kurtulus (3,355,000), Ding Fan (3,220,000), Traian Stanciu (3,110,000), and Dimitrios Gkatzas (3,060,000) are the other members of the three-million-chip club at the start of the day.

It’s been more than a decade since a woman won the EPT, and Maria Lampropulos, already with a PCA title on her resume, is still in the hunt and looking to change that as she comes into the day with 1,845,000. Further down the leaderboard are Paawan Bansal (1,835,000) and Tobias Peters (1,125,000).
The action on Day 5 picks up on Level 26 with blinds of 25,000/50,000 and a 50,000 big blind ante. Play is scheduled to go down to the final six players today. The remaining 16 have all locked up €41,900 for making it this far out of the 1,224-entry field, while a spot at the final table is worth €122,400. The eventual champion will take home €1,019,300 and the PokerStars Golden Shard trophy.
