Duncan Cameron made it 8,000 to go from under the gun and Tobias Peters jammed for 13,000 from the button. Cameron made the call when the action folded back to him.
Tobias Peters: K♣9♠
Duncan Cameron: A♠8♥
Peters needed to connect with the board to increase his chances of making Day 3.
Unfortunately for Peters, it was Cameron who connected with two pair on the J♦Q♦6♦A♣8♣ runout, ending Peters' Main Event run in Barcelona.
Daniel Jackson shoved his final 15,000 into the middle from the cutoff and Yves Thalmann took him for a spin from the big blind.
Daniel Jackson: J♣9♦
Yves Thalmann: K♠8♥
Thalmann was ahead, but Jackson had two live cards working for him.
Unfortunately for Jackson, Thalmann paired his king on the 2♣K♥7♦ flop to take a huge lead.
Jackson was left drawing dead after the 4♥ turn, making the A♦ river irrelevant as he headed to the rail.
Max Bashlawi raised to 8,000 from under the gun, and when the action folded to Leo Worthington-Leese in the big blind, he moved all-in for 38,000, which Bashlawi called.
Leo Worthington-Leese: J♥J♣
Max Bashlawi: K♣J♠
Bashlawi picked up eight more outs on the 10♥Q♦3♣ flop, but when the 5♠ turn and 8♥ river bricked out, Worthington-Leese pulled in a double-up.
Shortly after, at the same table, Maria Konnikova ran ace-queen into pocket aces preflop and didn't survive the collision, bringing her Main Event to an end.
Nicola Bordignon was all-in and at risk for roughly 80,000 from the hijack. Gabriel Tavares was the player who had him in danger of elimination from the big blind.
Nicola Bordignon: 8♠8♦
Gabriel Tavares: A♥K♦
The 3♣K♣5♣ flop moved Tavares into the lead, and when the 6♦ turn and 9♥ river didn't change anything, Bordignon was eliminated.
Mohamed Zazri flicked in his final 10,000 in early position. Josep Ruiz was the only interested party, and he called on the button. Once all other tables had finished their hands and the cameras had arrived, the cards were tabled.
Mohamed Zazri: 5♠5♣
Josep Ruiz: A♠8♦
Zazri remained ahead on the J♣Q♥K♥ flop. The K♠ turn brought counterfeit outs for Ruiz, and he spiked an ace on the A♦ river to send Zazri home.
Zazri quickly vacated the tournament area in 272nd place, bubbling the 2026 EPT Barcelona Main Event.
Kully Sidhu jammed for 14,000 from middle position, and Alexander Yen called from the big blind.
Kully Sidhu: A♥7♠
Alexander Yen: Q♠9♦
Sidhu was slightly ahead with ace-high against the queen-high of Yen.
Sidhu stayed in front on the 6♣6♦3♣ flop and J♦ turn.
Only a queen or nine would send Sidhu to the rail as the soft bubble, and one arrived as the Q♣ rolled off on the river, sending Sidhu to the rail just shy of the money.
With Sidhu's elimination, the tournament was on the direct bubble.
