Criado Squeezes Some Value From Pak

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
José Criado
José Criado

Edward Pak raised to 120,000 from early position, with Jose Criado calling from the hijack and John Juanda defending from the big blind.

All three were happy to check the 5♣8♦Q♥ flop, and the J♠ came on the turn. Juanda checked, Pak bet 180,000, and only Criado called, as Juanda folded 9♠8♥.

Pak checked the A♦ river and Criado bet the minimum of 60,000. Pak was curious enough to call with K♣J♥ for a pair of jacks, but he was second best against Criado's Q♦J♣ for two pair.

Zheng Beats Ruijs With the Same Hand

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Xiaosheng Zheng
Xiaosheng Zheng

Joris Ruijs raised to 120,000 from early position and Michael Dwyer called on the button. Xiaosheng Zheng squeezed to 550,000 from the small blind, which only Ruijs called, as Dwyer folded 7♦7♥.

The monotone 10♠6♠9♠ flop came down, and Zheng elected to lead out for 225,000. Ruijs wasn't going anywhere yet as he put in the call.

The 9♦ paired the board, and both players checked to see the 5♠ river. Another two checks followed and Zheng won the pot with A♥J♠ for a rivered flush, beating Ruijs' A♦J♦.

Jonas ten Cate Eliminated in 17th Place (€56,600)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jonas Ten Cate
Jonas Ten Cate

Jonas ten Cate raised to 120,000 under the gun and Gerard Carbo three-bet the cutoff to 270,000. When the action got back to Ten Cate, he called.

Ten Cate checked the 6♥J♣9♥ flop and Carbo bet 190,000. After using a time bank, Ten Cate check-jammed for about 1,200,000, and Carbo quickly called.

Jonas ten Cate: 8♥7♥ All in
Gerard Carbo: K♥4♥

Carbo was ahead with king-high for now, but Ten Cate still had some outs with two cards to come.

The J♥ turn completed Carbo's flush and took away Ten Cate's pair outs, leaving him with just two outs to make a straight flush.

The Q♥ river wasn't one of them, and Ten Cate headed to the rail in 17th place.

Vinicius Goncalves
Vinicius Goncalves

When the action folded to Vinicius Goncalves in the small blind, he moved all-in for 1,065,000. After peeling his cards, Jose Criado snap-called.

Vinicius Goncalves: A♥3♥ All in
Jose Criado: K♥K♣

There was no relief from the deck for Goncalves, as the J♠6♣6♠9♦3♠ board kept the preflop standings intact, sending Goncalves to the rail.

Fabricio Nociolini Eliminated in 19th Place (€47,150)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Fabricio Nociolini
Fabricio Nociolini

Fabricio Nociolini raised to 550,000 under the gun, leaving himself 40,000 behind. It folded to Xiaosheng Zheng in the small blind, who called.

Zheng put in the last chips on the 4♠2♠5♠ flop, and Nociolini instantly called off.

Fabricio Nociolini: Q♦J♦ All in
Xiaosheng Zheng: 5♦5♣

Nociolini was drawing slim to a chop as Zheng had flopped a set. The Q♥ turn locked up the pot for Zheng, and Nociolini said his goodbyes to his former tablemates as the meaningless 8♦ river completed the board.

Chouity placed a second barrel of 240,000 when the 6♦ arrived on the turn. Again. Ruijs called.

A 5♣ river checked through, and Chouity earned himself the pot with A♦4♥ for top pair. Ruijs mucked second pair holding J♣10♦.

Eduardo Kalil
Eduardo Kalil

Eduardo Kalil moved all-in for 465,000 from middle position and was put at risk when Vinicius Goncalves called from the hijack.

Eduardo Kalil: A♥8♣ All in
Vinicius Goncalves: 10♠10♣

Immediate service awaiting Kalil, as the J♥8♦A♣ flop moved him into the lead. The J♦ turn and 8♠ further improved Kalil, as he made a full house to double up.

Dwyer On the Rise

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Dwyer
Michael Dwyer

The stream joined the action on a 6♠4♦8♣ flop, with the pot already worth 470,000.

Matas Cimbolas checked from early position, Manuel Ferrari checked in the cutoff, and Michael Dwyer did the same on the button.

When the 2♣ joined the board, Cimbolas bet 300,000, which quickly removed Ferrari from the equation, who folded A♦10♦, but Dwyer called.

Cimbolas reverted to checking on the 9♥ river, but Dwyer wanted to play a bigger pot and bet 400,000. Cimbolas called, but it was bad news, as his K♠K♦ had been cracked by the 6♦6♣ of Dwyer.

Ruijs Puts Pak in the Blender

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Edward Pak
Edward Pak

Edward Pak raised to 100,000 from the cutoff, and Joris Ruijs called from the big blind.

Ruijs check-called a bet of 135,000 from Pak on the 10♥2♥5♠ flop.

The Q♠ arrived on the turn, causing Ruijs to check again. Pak fired a second barrel of 540,000, and after thinking for a while, Ruijs jammed.

The shove was for Pak's remaining 1,745,000. Pak went deep into the tank, burning through a couple of his time banks. About three minutes later, Pak folded, surrendering the pot to Ruijs.

Alexandru Toderita Eliminated in 20th Place (€47,150)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alexandru Toderita
Alexandru Toderita

Joris Ruijs raised to 100,000 on the button, and Alexandru Toderita defended his big blind.

On a Q♣K♠J♣ flop, Toderita check-called when Ruijs continued for 75,000. However, when the 7♠ hit the turn, Toderita opted to check-jam, moving all-in for 705,000 after Ruijs had barreled for 250,000. Ruijs called and showed Toderita the bad news.

Alexandru Toderita: K♣3♥ All in
Joris Ruijs: A♦10♠

The 8♦ river that followed was entirely irrelevant, as Ruijs had flopped a Broadway straight, and with Toderita drawing dead, his Main Event run came to an end.
