After an open from Bryn Kenney on the button, Christopher Nguyen shoved for 1,875,000 from the big blind. Kenney called and was at risk, but was ahead with A♣J♥ against Nguyen's 10♠7♠. The board ran out 8♦A♦K♦9♣10♦ and Kenney doubled up, leaving Nguyen with only 25,000 (half a small blind).
Despite winning the next hand for 200,000 (two big blinds), and the following hand to chip up to 725,000, the third hand was the end of Nguyen's comeback and he collected more than €1.4 million euros for third place.
