The action was joined as David Djian had worked his stack of 320,000 into the middle from the button, and was at risk of elimination at the hands of Jason Wheeler in the big blind.
David Djian: 4♠4♦
Jason Wheeler: A♦10♥
Djian could barely watch as the dealer flipped over the 5♣6♦6♥3♣2♣ board, but once the river arrived, Djian had made a straight and was sticking around.
Thomas Eychenne open-shoved from the small blind, and Roman Stoica put himself at risk by calling off his stack of 300,000 in the big blind.
Roman Stoica: A♦9♠
Thomas Eychenne: 4♠4♣
Eychenne's pair remained ahead on the 3♣J♣Q♥ flop and 6♠ turn, but the river brought relief for Stoica as the A♥ granted him a double-up.
Meanwhile, Markus Bonus' Main Event came to an end as he was left without chips at the feature table.
After an open-raise to 50,000 and three-bet to 150,000, Bonus burned a few time banks before deciding to shove his last 195,000 in the middle holding A♣Q♦ in the small blind. Bernhard Binder, in the big blind, then took a minute before five-betting to 395,000 holding the preflop nuts, A♥A♦.
The other two players folded, their hands were tabled, and Bonus saw he was in bad shape. The board ran out 8♥3♠9♥2♦J♠, bringing no miracle for Bonus, and he took his leave while Binder took his chips.
Raul Mestre had opened under the gun and called off when Tahar Said committed his last 190,000 in middle position.
Tahar Said: A♦K♥
Raul Mestre: A♠4♠
Mestre flopped a plethora of outs on 5♠Q♠3♦, but neither his straight draw nor his flush draw was completed on the 3♥A♣ turn and river, deciding the pot in Said's favor.
Miroslav Rizov raised to 50,000 in middle position. Sergiu Sirghi then committed his stack of 380,000 in the hijack, and Rizov called after getting a count.
Sergiu Sirghi: J♠J♣
Miroslav Rizov: A♦10♦
Sirghi silently shook his head as the 2♣K♣3♦A♠ turn brought his opponent top pair. The K♥ river did not bring a rebink for Sirghi's jacks, and he tapped the table in acknowledgement before taking his exit.
Raul Mestre opened the action with a raise to 50,000, which Ognyan Dimov called in the cutoff. Andrei Shmakov then moved all in for 75,000, which both Mestre and Dimov called.
The action checked through all the way to the river on the K♦7♦4♥Q♣J♠ board, but when Mestre checked for a third time, Dimov opted to bet. No sooner was the bet announced than had Mestre folded, and Shmakov then learned his fate.
Shmakov flipped over J♣9♥, which was unable to beat the K♣Q♦ of Dimov.
With a raise ahead of him made by Miroslav Rizov, Jason Wheeler moved all in from the small blind for 495,000. The action folded back to Rizov, who called.
Jason Wheeler: 6♥6♦
Miroslav Rizov: A♥K♦
Wheeler's pocket pair managed to hold on across the 5♥10♦10♣J♣9♠ runout, earning him a full double up.
Dimitar Danchev opened to 50,000 in middle position. It folded to Tahar Said, who defended his big blind. The duo then checked through the 3♣2♦6♣ flop and 2♣ turn, prompting Said to bet 105,000 on the 4♣ river.
Danchev quickly called. Said revealed king-high with K♦8♦, and Danchev was awarded the pot as he had called with A♠10♣ for ace-high.
Shortly before, Nikita Kuznetsov was left empty-handed at the feature table and departed the tournament area.
Miroslav Rizov raised to 60,000 from the small blind, to which Cedric Schwaederle responded by moving all in for 190,000 from the big blind. Rizov called, and the players headed to a showdown.
Cedric Schwaederle: Q♦3♦
Miroslav Rizov: A♣Q♣
The A♠6♥8♥ flop all but sealed the deal for Schwaederle, and when the 7♠ turn and 4♣ river completed the board, his elimination was official.
Heads up to the 2♥K♣8♦Q♥ turn, Miroslav Rizov checked from the big blind to Diego Zeiter on the button. Zeiter added 140,000 to the pot of 175,000 with a bet, and Rizov flicked in calling chips.
The 7♥ river was then checked to showdown. Rizov sheepishly showed 8♠4♣ for a pair of eights, but Zeiter had the higher pair with his K♦10♦ to be awarded the pot.
Jason Wheeler opened to 50,000 on the button, and Benny Glaser put in a three-bet to 170,000 from the small blind. Next to act, Diego Zeiter moved all in from the big blind for 465,000.
Wheeler folded and, after confirming the bet amount, Glaser did the same.
