The action was joined as Laurent Polito had maneuvered his stack of 705,000 into the middle preflop and was at risk of elimination versus Xavier Cortazar.
Laurent Polito: A♠A♦
Xavier Cortazar: A♥K♥
The dealer provided the customary sweat, as the flop came down 2♣J♦Q♣. Polito happily scooped in the double-up, though, when the board bricked out with the 4♣ and 9♦.

Laurent Polito and Miroslav Rizov were heads up on the J♥5♣7♥ flop. Polito flicked in a bet of 50,000 in the cutoff, which Rizov called on the button.
The A♥ turn then checked through to the Q♣ river, where Polito reaggressed with a bet of 100,000. Rizov instantly called with A♠K♣, besting the K♠J♦ of Polito to win the pot.
One hand later, Polito had opened from the hijack, and Leonard Maue had defended his big blind. Polito then continued for 75,000 on the 9♠10♣8♥ flop, and Maue check-called.
Both players checked the 3♠ turn, prompting Maue to bet the minimum of 25,000 on the Q♦ river. Poltio slid in a raise to 255,000, and Maue made a reluctant fold to surrender the pot.

Laurent Polito raised to 55,000 on the button, and Xavier Cortazar defended his big blind.
On a Q♦K♥7♥ flop, Cortazar check-called a bet of 65,000 before the action checked through on the 5♦ turn.
The board was completed by the K♦ river, and Cortazar led out for 175,000. Polito used a time extension and then called.
Cortazar flipped over K♣4♣, good for rivered trips, and Polito mucked his hand.

Miguel Franco was first to act and raised to 50,000. Jose Malpelli placed a small three-bet to 110,000 in early position, which Franco called once it had folded back to him.
Malpelli continued for 130,000 on the 9♣K♥4♦ flop, seeing his opponent check-call. The 3♣ turn was then quickly checked by both players, prompting Franco to bet 120,000 on the 6♥ river.
Malpelli did not give it much thought before folding, surrendering the pot to his neighbor.

It folded to Longmao Fan in the small blind. He raised to 80,000, which Dorian Dizy three-bet to 180,000 in the big blind. Fan responded by moving all in, and Dizy called off his stack of 630,000 after burning through some time banks.
Dorian Dizy: A♦4♦
Longmao Fan: K♠Q♠
The 6♠3♠K♥ flop dramatically favored Fan. Dizy was left to just a couple of outs, but Fan locked up the pot by hitting two pair on the Q♦ turn instead.
Dizy wished his former opponents good luck and headed out of the Main Event area.

Leonard Maue: A♣9♥

Benny Glaser was in the big blind and got his 300,000 remaining chips in the middle against Jason Wheeler in the small blind.
Benny Glaser: A♥Q♠
Jason Wheeler: K♦5♥
The 7♦J♠6♣ flop helped neither player, but the 5♦ turn gave Wheeler a pair to take the lead. The 8♦ river was of no use to Glaser, who said his goodbyes in 27th place.
