Stoica quickly called to the 4 river, where Djian sized up to 775,000. Stoica did not need long before he called again.

Binder snapped him off with A8 for a straight, raking in the pot as Ju could only show king-high with K10.

The 7 turn made Binder size down to 800,000. Again, Djian check-called. Djian then promptly led out for 1,400,000 on the Q river. Binder used one of his remaining time banks before calling.

Djian stood up triumphantly as he tabled 44 for a full house. Binder swiftly added his A10 to the muck in defeat, and Djian celebrated as he raked in the sizable pot.

Roman Stoica made it 300,000 to go in the cutoff. It folded to Jose Malpelli in the big blind, who decided to wager his entire stack worth 2,675,000. Stoica mulled things over for a bit before he called with the covering stack.

Jose Malpelli: 99 All in
Roman Stoica: AQ

Malpelli was in a flip for his tournament life, and he became a big favorite to win it after the 4845 flop and turn remained absent of aces and queens and presented him with a flush draw.

The river came the A, however, giving Stoica top pair to be awarded the pot and send Malpelli to the rail.

Malpelli shook hands with his former opponents before he headed to the payout desk to pick up €218,300, nearly 1,000 times the €250 he paid to qualify for the Main Event.

Chip Leaders Go to Battle

Level 31 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Bernhard Binder made it 300,000 to go in the cutoff. David Djian defended his big blind, after which both players checked the 399 flop.

Binder bet 200,000 on the A turn after Djian had checked. Djian quickly called to the A river, which he rapidly checked again.

Binder bet 1,000,000 for a nearly pot-sized bet. Djian grabbed his time bank cards and started shuffling them as he thought the hand through. Ultimately, he only used one before he called.

Binder showed a full house with A8, prompting Djian to muck his QJ hero-call.

Malpelli Trending Down Again

Level 31 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

David Djian limped in from the small blind, and Jose Malpelli checked his option in the big blind. The J79 flop saw Djian bet 175,000, which Malpelli called at lightning speed.

Djian then checked the 6 turn over to Malpelli, who quickly tossed in 175,000 himself. Djian spent some time in the tank before adding calling chips to the pot, after which the Q river completed the board.

The two remaining French players checked it to showdown. Djian revealed Q6 for two pair, having rivered the winner as Malpelli held J5 for a pair of jacks.
