Level 31 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
David Djian
David Djian

Samuel Ju limped in from the small blind and called when he faced a raise to 425,000 by David Djian in the big blind.

The players checked through the 958 flop and 5 turn, prompting the dealer to place the 7 on the river. Ju checked a third time, but Djian added 750,000 to the pot with a bet.

Ju was visibly displeased with the situation, but could not get away from his A9 and called off. His intuition proved to be correct, as Djian tabled 62 for a straight to win the pot and reclaim the lead.

Jose Malpelli

Samuel Ju opened his button to 350,000, holding A9. Jose Malpelli called with 77in the big blind and checked the subsequent 57J flop over to Ju.

Ju bet 250,000, but quickly folded when Malpelli raised to 800,000 with his three sevens.

The next hand, Malpelli limped in from the small blind. Bernhard Binder checked in the big blind, after which both players checked the 4A9 flop. Malpelli checked again on the 3 turn before he called Binder's bet of 300,000.

Both players wanted to show down after the 7 river, and Malpelli's Q9 won the pot against Binder's 96 after a couple of checks.

Back-to-Back Sixes for Djian

Level 31 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

David Djian opened to 300,000 as first to act. It folded to Samuel Ju in the big blind, who opted to defend. After the 2JA flop checked through, Ju took a stab at the pot with a bet of 175,000 on the 2 turn.

Djian called to the J river, which was quickly checked to showdown. Ju showed king-high with K10, leaving Djian to take the pot with 66.

On the next shuffle, Bernhard Binder made it 300,000 to go in the cutoff with 88. Djian was in the big blind and defended 66, check-calling when Binder placed 200,000 on the 7Q3 flop.

Both players took the passive route on the 7 turn and checked, prompting Djian to bet 375,000 on the A river.

Binder gave it some thought but ultimately mucked his higher pair as another pot was sent Djian's way.

On the next deal, Malpelli was on the button with 88. He raised to 500,000, taking down the blinds and antes when Binder and Roman Stoica moved out of the way.

Stoica moved all in for 2,275,000 after little thought, and Fan snap-called him with a covering stack.

Roman Stoica: JJ All in
Longmao Fan: AK

A low full house appeared on the 35353 board, meaning Stoica's jacks held on to double up.

Fan, meanwhile, was left with just over three big blinds in his stack.
